Great premise. Movie was a bit too long. Gosling isn’t just a show pony. I like him because our bodies are similar.

I only caught like the last 10-15 minutes of this a while back so i need to go back and watch it in full but from what i did see it seemed good.

Can you update me when you’ve seen the whole thing?

"The Open House" on Netflix. 2/10

Ending was amazingly disappointing. They did not reveal the killer at all. I was like... That's it?! 2 Thumbs down.

    Shawshank Redemption on Netflix

    10/10

I never saw this film before today, and now the Morgan Freeman narrating everything in life makes sense lol. Sucks I waited this long. This was an incredible film.

Little surprised by the RT score for the audience so far with Black Panther. Critics love it so i kind of figured the audience would too but as far as actually loving it the audience isnt quite there yet.

My god Henry Cavill is absolutely a dreadful actor, and that is outside his bland representation of Superman. Wow, this is some bad shit. #TheColdLightofDay

The Tomatometer Percentage is just how many fresh reviews there are. A Fresh Review can be anything from a 7/10 to a 10/10 or as low as a "C" grade if the critic sees fit to "recommend" it when they submit it. If you actually look at the reviews, some of them are may be saying it's good not great. The audience scores are as simple thumbs up/thumbs down aggregate.

There is a good explanation of it here: https://www.vox.com/culture/2017/8/3...es-aggregation

This line sums up why sometimes audience scores vary wildly from the critics scores:

Even if Rotten Tomatoes required people to pass a quiz on the movie before they rated it, the score would still be somewhat unreliable. Why? Because ordinary audiences are more inclined to buy tickets to movies they’re predisposed to like — who wants to spend $12 to $20 on a film they’re pretty sure they’ll hate?
That is why you see films like Justice League that got like a 40% Tomatometer but a above average audience score. Critics HAVE to watch the movies and they tend to cluster their opinions. I know pretty much going into a film that I will probably like it, the last one to really throw me for a loop was The Last Jedi.

6 Days on Netflix, it's about the 1980 hostage taking in London in the Iranian Embassy and SAS taking it back. 8/10. Good cast and good writing.
"We saw it…. the hussars let loose their horses. God, what power! They ran through the smoke and the sound was like that of a thousand blacksmiths beating with a thousand hammers

They rush on to the Swedes! They crash into the Swedish riters…. Overwhelm them! They crash into the second regiment - Overwhelmed! Resistance collapses, dissolves, they move forward as easily as if they were parading on a grand boulevard
