Hey! I said right in my review I can't be trusted with Star Wars movies. I can't help it. I have no idea why people look to my reviews as any kind of litmus test of quality. I wear my bias on my sleeve.

Because you're a good man, and I trusted you.

I am going to rewatch it under better conditions, I was mostly trying to be funny.

The wife and I went to watched Independence Day 2 at the neighbor's last night. It was lame. I watched the whole movie to be nice, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I like that Shimmer Lake ends with a Tame Impala song.

    John wick 2 8/10

The first time I watched it I was too drunk to take it in, so I watched it again, I am so pleased I did

    He officially kicks ass

    War dogs 10/10

Loved it, great casting, great acting.

Horrible plot? The movie is about how they got Death Star plans, what more do you need?

I just watched Life, sweet movie. 8/10 The most plausible take on "life on Mars", imo. It isn't gonna be some human-ish looking thing with huge eyes that lives underground, it's gonna be a microscopic organism that could wipe out the entire human race.

But the ending confused me, did the dumbass just get in the wrong lifeboat or what?

    Barton Fink

I'm not going to give it a number but my gut feeling is that it's about as good as a movie can get. For me. I want to watch it again right away, and the last time I felt that way was Donnie Darko.

Abe, I watched The Third Man but wasn't in the mood at the time for the frequent German subtitles. I can see the quality and why you threw it out there. It holds up well for an old film.

Glad you liked Barton Fink. Coen bros rarely misfire. Personally it's not one of my favorites of theirs, but it is a quality movie.

Coen bros have some other movies, I know the name. I'll have to look it up. Ah, Fargo, No Country, Big Lebowski. Yeah, they hit the G spot. I'm so jaded it's surprising when a movie even touches me.
