Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist...9/10. Very funny and all characters are likeable. Noone was obnoxious or nauseating. Michael Cera (Superbad, Juno, Arrested Development TV show) has really made a name for himself.

Took my daughters to see Beverly Hills Chihuahua last week...2/10 at best. AWFUL movie. It only gets the 2 because there were a couple solid looking ladies present.

    smart people 7/10
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Perrier Pot, she worked, accept for the stupid high heels they put her in at the end of the movie. Bridges, he worked. I was 12 years old again!. It worked, it worked, it worked!

"W" 8.5/10. Surprisingly even-handed look at one of the most charismatic people of recent history. You almost feel bad for the guy at the end. The flashbacks intertwined with the lead up to the Iraq war was a neat juxtaposition.

Great actors, Robert Redford was a stud! (not in the sexy way because he's old enough to be my grandfather - ew) Love Mark Ruffalo.

    Max Payne - 6.5/10

Pretty interesting movie. A lot probably wouldn't like it at all, given that it's unbelievably confusing, especially at the beginning (though I like the suspense, so it didn't bother me as much) and has a semi-predictable ending that leaves a bit to be desired. However, the camera effects (which a lot of people would overlook, but I always factor into a movie) were superb. Lots of really sweet effects, and not just CG effects. Most of the first part of the movie reflects the tone, where the scenes are nearly all in solid blacks and whites. Later, as more is being found out, the scenes vary more, with a lot of grays and blues in addition to usual black and white. Fond memories are displayed in shining golds and oranges. In addition, there's a bunch of action scenes (there could be more) that feature different effects, from the standard slow motion shots where you can see the discharge of the clip to this really awesome pan-around during an attack to switch perspectives.

The story itself could've used some work, and Mila Kunis' character could've used some more depth being the reluctant sidekick (still hot, though...). In the beginning, there's a lot of references to the supernatural, and then it really doesn't appear again until the end, in a sweet series of rage-like action shots. So, in essence, the story held the action back.

It really depends on if you buy into the great camerawork and effects to make this movie worthwhile. I don't regret seeing it.

    Max Payne

    1/10

And no, I'm not just saying that cause they took the game's storylines and butchered them; the movie is just bad. The plot is a complete trainwreck. As an action film there is hardly any action. As a drama there isn't enough to satisfy a soap opera's quota. It's just bland as hell. The characters have zero substance, Max included. It was just a poorly made film. It had some great ideas with the drug aspect, but it just blew it. As a fan of the games I was literally embarrassed watching it and there was quite a few times, and I'm a very humble person mind you, where I just wanted to scream something about how horrible this film was. (I was also tempted to walk out; but I will never do that just on the virtues of the fact I paid for it.)
