    i truly loved this movie

great links to the original, great soundtrack - and as someone who has read a lot of Irvine Welsh - another great story

I don't think i have ever watched a movie that made me so aware of the passage of time as this, 20 years since the original, i wrote a paper in English about the first novel, it was very important in pop culture amonst my adolesence - kinda makes me want to have a reunion with some school friends

I like how having watched the original a couple of weeks ago, i was aware how fresh faced they all looked - and now having watched the sequel myself, McGregor, Miller, Carlysle and Bremner are all haggard, balding and no longer in the youth of our lives. Albeit the actors are significantly more successful than i - and i the characters but still there really was something powerful about this movie with regards to my own awareness of my mortality, hopes and dreams from childhood and also the passage of time.

The pair of films makes it into my all time top 5 list - hands down
i didn't even realize this was out. . . did it go straight to video or something?

dave, have you seen requiem for a dream?

I have to assume that means my style, too.

Schindler's List - 2/10: I don't get it, I didn't think it was as funny as people let on.

My first 3D movie. Straight forward kids flick - as superhero movies were intended to be. Keeps adults entertained - though I recommend at least one vodka cocktail.

(Brief aside as it relates to kids superhero flicks: I'm still recovering from the idea that millions of people apparently liked the movie Deadpool. I will fight every single one of them for their contribution to the downfall of society.) Then I will invite them to see Captain Underpants.
As a fan of the comics, Deadpool was fricken amazing.

Captain Underpants was a far superior cinema experience.

My most recent movie was Captain America: Rise of the Amazonian (Wonder Woman) 9/10

I loved it! Great freaking movie and DC finally decided to drop the dark and brooding act for once and surprise, surprise, surprise, it was their best film in probably a decade.

But seriously though...It was basically Captain America with a female lead. Wonder Woman vs the Nazi's... Good character development, good supporting characters, it was well written and funny. I can't find much of anything to complain about. It basically followed the Marvel movie formula only Wonder Woman's villain was better than what Marvel tends to offer.

I'm actually ALMOST excited for Justice League now...Almost because I remember that Zach Snyder is directing and it'll probably suck like BvsS did

I non-ironically love Batman vs Superman. Well, the Ultimate Edition anyway. Here is how I rank the DCEU:

    1. Wonder Woman
    2. Batman v Superman UE
    3. Man of Steel

    (big gap)

    4. Suicide Squad

Movies are so subjective that I won't even argue why I like them anymore. I'm looking forward to Justice League but I am already in the bag for these flicks. I think Zack Snyder gets lots of crap, especially considering how well he did with Watchmen and the Dawn of the Dead remake. His movies are visually stunning, he just needs good writers to reel him in. I think Geoff Johns had a heavy hand on Justice League so that should help.

I trust Geoff Johns a ton, which is why I'll go into it open minded.

Yeah, if he takes on a Kevin Feige type role I think the DCEU is in good hands going forward. REALLY looking forward to what he does with Batman.
