    Logan - 10

They nailed it. It was the Wolverine movie I always wanted to see.

Yup, Logan was a 9/10 for me. This movie was a road movie with the heart of a western. I loved how beat down Logan was and they established that early on. He was basically an old tough dude with knives (one of which was slow to unsheathe). By taking away his near invincibility and boiling the character down to who he is they made this movie a true character piece instead of a "Superhero movie". I kept thinking it was like No Country for Old Men meets The Professional (the flick with a young Natalie Portman being protected by a hitman). Logan is a superb drama with just enough action that kept me engaged the entire time. The three main characters were great and I actually felt a sense of dread as the movie reached it's conclusion. I hope even non-comic fans give this movie a serious look sometime as we probably won't see something like this again. If Hugh Jackman truly is done with the character, he sent him off in the best possible way.

I might see this one. Wolverine and Punisher were really the only comic book characters I liked as a kid.

I think you will love this then. It is very much in line with some of the darker solo Wolverine/Logan graphic novels. There is no apocalyptic threat, no moustache twirling bad guy, and no forced love interest. This is a very beat down world with a very beat down anti-hero. The violence is very visceral and even made me flinch a few times.

I've been on vacation (and thus haven't paid a lot of attention to this board) however, while I was away we went and saw John Wick 2 in IMAX. 11/10. Would watch again.

The perfect mix of mindless action.

    Snowden 10/10.

    I loved it.

I thought the movie did a great job of portraying his blind patriotism moving towards skepticism and finally disgust.

Before anyone has a go, I am not commenting on its factual accuracy, just the quality of the movie.

There was the Rogue / Wolverine arc in the late 80's that I really liked (maybe that's an eternal arc, idk).

I'll check it out...maybe the 11:55a at Alamo?

    Dallas Buyers Club

8/10: Interesting story. Damn, Matthew McConaughey had scrawny body in this film. No wonder, he won the Academy award for Best Actor in 2013.

It was so much better than the wikileaks movie. Which I also liked, but I really thought they did a great job on snowden
