Rogue One- 10/10

Without a doubt the best Star Wars film for me to date. As Shake eluded to before it is dark but its extremely well put together and not rushed at all. Love some of the small nods to some of the other films (mainly Episode IV) like the douchebags from the bar in which Kenobi cuts the arm off of one of them. Yen was awesome as expected but i was surprised to find that all the main characters were interesting and badass in their own way. Even Whitaker was a really cool character for me in this which was unexpected. So yea, my rankings would be altered a bit with this being #1 for me. So much better than Force Awakens and i hope they expand more on some of these side stories going forward.

I respect your opinion on Rogue one. However, I think Force Awakens has a better storyline with actions in my opinion. Rogue One has the best ending than Force Awakens. That's all.

Eh - Force Awakens was basically an updated version of IV. It was almost (note ALMOST) disappointing how many similarities there were between the two.

I dont know, one of my problems with Force Awakens was how similar in format and storytelling it was to Episode IV. All they did really to me was insert new characters into a ready made template. Rogue One just felt completely new and honestly outside of the old faces i didnt really find any of the new characters of Force Awakens all that interesting. Maybe that changes going forward but comparing both movies it was like night and day to me. And i love the battle scenes of Rogue One, i thought they were great especially the ending battle scene.

of course force awakens has a great storyline, it was awesome in A New Hope as well... but it wasn't good enough to use twice. Maybe the next one will be a copy of the Matrix, that would be a good storyline as well.
