I liked Kill Bill more than most people I think - could have been that it came out while I was in college and I was just starting to really delve deep into Tarantino films. I can remember absolutely savoring the first movie in theaters - by myself - and not wanting any scene to end. I liked it a great deal more than Inglorious Basterds. I think Brad Pitt was a bad choice for that role and he brought down the movie. Whereas Christopher Waltz's performance was as good as any character in any of his movies. Here's my list:

1.) Pulp Fiction
2.) Kill Bill
3.) Django
4.) Jackie Brown
5.) Reservoir Dogs
6.) Hateful 8
7.) Inglorious Basterds

You are probably the first person i have come across that didnt care for IB as much as i did.

After watching "Burn After Reading" and "Inglorious Basterds" I developed some pretty strong anti-Brad Pitt sentiments... I think he sort of ruined both of those movies for me. He is just not that good of an actor IMO. This was further reinforced to me when I watched him on Inside the Actors studio - not really that impressive the way most elite actors are.

But then I really liked his performance in Fury, so I'm slightly less anti-Pitt than I was.

I agree with this assessment 100%. I always thought he was significantly overrated as an actor, but I thought he was pretty good in Fury.

Fury and Fight Club.....that's about it.

Tom Cruise is also overrated as an actor, IMO.

I dunno, after watching him die constantly in Edge of Tomorrow my position on him has softened.

I think both Cruise and Pitt have their moments. For instance i thought Cruise was really good in Vanilla Sky and liked Pitt in Fury and Spy Game (although Redford buried him in terms of acting in that too).

I thought that was good. But Pitt is an overrated actor still. Dave would sleep with him though.
