OK, so I have been on an old 80's scifi movie marathon....
I rented Krull the other day.....
YUCK! I have never seen a worse lame attempt at mimicing star wars. Just horible. The only interesting thing in the whole flick was seeing a young Liam Neeson on one of his first movie roles. Funny, little did he know that he would actually star in a real star wars movie a decade later.

Mama's Boy - 5/10 There are some funny parts that made me laugh out loud. John Heder's character wasn't very likeable. There are better movies out there.

On the subject of John Heder, accept for his voice work in Surfs Up, it seems like he is getting pigeonholed into the "Lovable Looser" role. He was very good in School for Scoundrels, and I don't think he played that part much in Blades of Glory, but I think the guy has some potential if he can get into the right movies.

I saw "The Dark Knight" two days ago. Heath Ledger was incredible! I would highly recommend the movie. If there was a drawback, I would say it's a little too long.

    The Dark Knight - 9.75/10

I can't give this movie a 10 because the main character, the actor of Batman himself, really didn't act all that well, and the action scenes were good, but not legendary. But really, everything else was phenomenal. Ledger's performance could go down in the books; the Joker character was the perfect blend of maniacal genious and humor... a perfect move IMO by the casting team. The story's coherent, too. Everybody has a motive, a reason, for their actions, no matter how twisted or counterintuitive the action is... every action in the movie had justification by the character.

And it's because of this that we see, as the audience, the conflicts of interests, and, within that, the moral conundrums and ethical questions. The Dark Knight really was a thinker for me for what I would do in each character's shoes, because of all of the choices each character faces and the innumerable amount of consequences each had.

    The Dark Knight - 8/10

Solid movie. Better than all the other super-hero flicks namely because it is embedded in moral dilemmas and realism more than the "I'm emo..."-ness of just about all other comic-book films.

Not quite what I was expecting, but decent.

AGREED! I liked Dark Knight, but I don't think it touches Transformers from last summer.

9/10 Dark Knight was a "dark" movie, but excellent! Looking forward to the next movie and wish Heath was going to be around to play the Joker.

    X-Files tomorrow and can't wait.

Agreed... Just got back from it, not a big super hero movie goer but I broke down for this one... Actually pretty good, my only complaint was that it was friggin 2 and a half hours long.

I'd probably say 7/10 just because it still had a few cheesey super-hero moments.

Saw Dark Knight last night. 9/10.
I love "dark" movies and this one was definitely dark.
The Ledger hype was justified. He does an amazing job. Makes the Jack Nicholson joker look like Ronald MacDonald...;-)
After all that though, it still didn't move me the way Spiderman 2 did. That still remains my favorite superhero movie.
