Pretty good documentary about the collapse of the video game industry in the early 1980's that centers around the E.T. Video Game that was rushed into production and became one of the biggest flops ever. Hundreds if not thousands of copies were buried in a landfill New Mexico and one of the highlights of this documentary was their excavation in 2014 which is like a fascinating time capsule back to that time period. Hard to believe that the Video Game industry ever recovered after that collapse, but now it seems to be stronger than ever.

EDIT: This was on Netflix BTW.
The wife and i checked this out. Pretty good like you said. There was an interesting point at the end of it that i kind of agree with though. I remember playing that game a couple of times when my friend had an Atari system and i remember how frustrating it was. But watching this i feel so bad for that programmer who made it because he was only given 5 weeks to crank that thing out so im not sure what Atari or Warner was thinking by rushing it like that. But i also agreed that there were actually a lot worse games on that roster than E.T. but because of how much money was spent E.T. became the poster child for their downfall.

Yeah I'm glad they brought that up at the end. I had an Intellivision console that for some reason played Atari and Coleco games and I can remember WAAAAY worse games. I feel bad for the programmer too, but like he said he was cocky about it and thought he could pull it off. Sounds like he was being fueled by cocaine and weed at the time so maybe he thought he could!

    Hindenburg: The Untold Story- 9/10

Pretty good documentary on the Hindenburg tragedy. Especially loved the final comment and quote from Tierney's character Eckener at the end of the movie. Just a kind of creepy and haunting feel to it for me regarding the move to the age of airplanes. Supposedly there are some inaccuracies with this film but they seem rather minor and dont really take away from the point of the film. I didnt even realize until seeing this that Tierney had just past away this past year. Anyway, pretty good if you are interested in that sort of thing.

    Probably not.

    But worth the risk.

A moustache, a moustache, if he only had a moustache.

    I have a mustache.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

    Mr. Babadook. 2/10

We will need daves input here. It's a british movie and freaking weird! So weird.

You are never going to see it so I am going to spoil so maybe Dave can make some sense of what I just saw.

Mr. Babadook is like the boogeyman. He comes out of the kids closet or hides under the bed. He is the kids dead father and the moms dead husband. He died in a car wreck on the way to her delivering the kid. Babdook haunts and scares the mom and the kid for a while. He then possesses the little boys mom. Once possessed she kills her dog and tries to kill the little boy. The little boy ties her up after knocking her unconscious from his little home alone fun house he has in his basement. He gets his mom to puke up blood aka mr. Babadook. Then Baba dook back in invisible ghost form takes the little boy sliding up stairs to the bedroom. I suspect to sodomise the boy and not kill him but you never know. Anyway, the big scary ghost shadows appear and the mom yells at it and screams.....by screaming she somehow scared baba dook who went crying down to the basement....yay, everyone is happy and saved from the big bad ghost guy. Then, the mom and boy dig up a bunch of worms and go down to the basement to feed the baba dook ghost a bowl of worms.......and they all live happily ever after....?

Dave, wtf. What about this British horrible...I mean horror movie am I completely missing? All she had to do this whole time is scream at the ghost? And why are they still living in a house with s ghost in the basement? And why did they decide that it suddenly wants to eat a bowl of worms?

I think it it's unfair to hold me accountable for this British cinemamatic failure.

I don't blame you for eyes wide shut!

As for this film, I have no idea about the shouting our the worms.

Sorry I can not be of assistance on this occasion.

I think we can definitely say that Britain, as a whole, is a failure. Can't we?
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

Britain brought us Sherlock Holmes (Cumberbatch) and Emma Watson. They win.
