Machete Kills 7.5/10
Better than the first and some great WTF moments but it kind of drags on places. When it's on though it's brilliantly dumb and fun. Charlie Sheen (credited as Carlos Estevez) is a nice touch as the President and every scene with a helicopter had some funny gory kills. Mel Gibson plays a crazy villain and introduces some strange homages to Star Wars near the end which sets up the next movie: Machete Kills Again - In Space!
Pain & Gain
7/10
Somewhat weird.
The rock cooking hands on the grill was so funny. And that "Im on Team Jesus" shirt was great. I want one.
Dont know how you did not like Oblivion! DENBRONX.
It was really made to be symbolic to the current wars today.... drone operators just following commands....humans are the "aliens"... etc. I loved it.

I still LIKED the movie because its SciFi but it wasnt as good as lets say After Earth which I think is an 8.5/10.
Oblivion could have been alot better and like I said, it faded towards the end. Cruise has new one coming out which seems interesting in 2014 called, Edge of Tomorrow. I really enjoyed him in War of the Worlds - 9.5/10 <----- kept my attention the whole way through and that's what makes movies great.
"Oh I’m sorry, did I break your concentration?”
Jules Winnfield - Pulp Fiction
Weird, i wasnt that enamored with War of the Worlds. In fact, Dakotas excessive whining annoyed the piss out of me. However, i do love Vanilla Sky which was a sleeper for me since i had never seen it initially when it came out. As for WOTW, ill take the classic over the remake.
If you have ever known someone, especially a kid, with an anxiety/panic disorder, you would know Dakota was spot on. Vanilla sky was a mind****. Pretty trippy. My favorite was when Tom started making cat noises. One of those movies where you walk out of the theater a little dazed and confused.
Oh, and watched The is the End on blue ray last night. Still a 9/10
Another thing about Vanilla sky... I'll never watch it again because it is too depressing. Brilliant, but depressing. Kind of like What Dreams may Come with Robin Williams.
