We watched Skyfall tonight. Mo was right. Bardem delivers in it. The new Moneypenny gives me wood.

I almost saw The Hobbit the day after I saw Django Unchained but I decided to go watch Django Unchained again instead.
Speaking of, if you're interested in film analyzations like I am, here's this:

I fell asleep toward the end of "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" last night.
Still one of my all time favorite flics that's a 10/10er in my book.
I was happy to see Waltz and Tarantino get some recognition at the Oscars, but how Dicaprio got snubbed for even a nomination tells me everything I need to know about why I never watch "award shows". Argo was a fine film but if you saw the trailer you saw the movie. Ben Affleck with a beard being Ben Affleck and rescuing hostages while making a fake movie. Alan Arkin was Alan Arkin, and so on and so forth. Ben Affleck is a great director and the film was ok, but hardly "Best Picture".
The Academy Awards are a joke and akin to something like running for High School President. Outside of a handful of movies, very rarely does the "Best Picture" ever line up with my top 3 movies of the year, let alone top 10. Those awards are decided by a crusty old group of idiots and daring movies like Django and others will get snubbed for safe bets or bought votes. The Oscars are the opposite of the Super Bowl for me. I can remember all the winners of the Super Bowl, but I will never forget the "losers" at the Oscars. Annie Hall beats Star Wars? Shakespeare In Love beats Saving Private Ryan? Hell even Citizen Cane which is near the top of every all time great list lost to some movie called How Green Was My Valley. Just stupid all around.
You're missing out North. Take Missy and go see it on the big screen.
