Plus, you know, guns and stuff!
well, I wasn't suggesting that it was propoganda or a "bad" thing. I was commenting that I got the impression that some OTHERS seemed to take it as propoganda. But thanks for putting words into my posts for me

    (just kidding)

Well, I never usually associate propaganda with a good thing unless some guy in a chicken suit is trying to direct me into a Popeye's Chicken. Now THATS some good propaganda!

Maybe next time you will choose your words more carefully if you don't want them changed. I'm sick of cleaning up your messes and trying to explain your behavior to the rest of the board!

And weasel u are nuts, drive was good. The cinematography alone should get it a 5.
I saluted this for your comments about Drive and A Good Old...

    Moneyball was money, though.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I keep getting pressured to watch Drive. Think I'm gonna pass on it for a bit.

It's not a bad movie. The script was a good one it's just soooo damn slow. It could probably be a 1 hour and 10 minute movie and the results would be the same. Carey Mulligan is cute in it so that's one thing.
    Thanks Shake!

There's only two mediocre driving scenes. TWO!

That should tell you everything you need to know about a movie named "Drive".

Scratch that. I guess I was a little over zealous.

There are three driving scenes if you count one short scene in a cheap Nascar knock-off on a small town track with only one car on the track, poorly shot where it looks like it's going 60 mph at the most.

Four, if you count the main character driving his love interest and her kid home, and Five if you count a 10 second stunt driving scene that was as unimpressive as anything I've ever seen.

None of these are anything that would be confused with a normal car chase scene.

The movie really fails hard in delivering anything of the sort of a world class getaway driver.

I liked moneyball, I had just had everybody tell me how good it was I was expecting way more. Without the expectations clouding my judgement id probably give it a 7.5....it let me down more than contagion did. Best movies I've seen in the last 6 months by far are drive and 50/50

If u are expecting a car chase movie your going to be let down. Its not fast and the furious. There is actually acting in drive. Can't believe some of the hate its getting here. I'm also sure that movie had a pretty small budget compared to many movies as well. No CGI horse crap. Just good acting, directing, and cinematography...I love how it doesn't hand you everything on a silver platter and makes you think a bit. Too many movies now just regurgitate crap we already knew was happening.....plus the lead has about 30 lines the entire movie but is still the strongest character.

I guess i can see how some might not like the pacing and metaphors/directing style. Its not perfect but I thought it was brilliant.

Hey now, Fast and the Furious was good.

With that said for the most part i heard Drive was good but have yet to see it. Oddly enough, the critics on RT gave it a 93% while the audience gave it a 78%. Ill probably watch it when it comes to netflix.

Ya should have clarified, I liked the first fast and the furious.........I think it gets lower ratings from the audience because they were expecting a big time action movie, and drive isn't.

I will now see this movie based on your review. I like substance over style and subtlety over blatantly obvious plot twists.

One more proof point... I trust the RT audience over the IMDB audience.
