I am kind of looking forward to seeing his second version.....although I will probably wait for it on dvd.
It wasn't horrible, but it also wasn't necessary. I liked his first one ok, too, but this second one looks horrible and is getting really bad reviews overall. Could be a fun rental, but thats about it.

Maybe they should have remade the original Halloween 2, and gone with the original concept of the halloween movies. To have a different story for each one. Oh wait, I remember why. halloween 2 sucked.

    Inglourious Basterds - 9.5/10

Just see it. Words don't give justice to both the creativity, novelty, satire, and culmination of plot that it offers.

I didn't think it was possible that Brad Pitt could have a more badass character than in Fight Club, but the general here... he's damn close, if not better. Still debating it.

The main villain guy was also intriguing. I didn't not like a single character produced in the film, though I wish there was more dedicated to the specialty guys on the Basterds, who are just mentioned in passing glance. The trailers don't do justice to the actual suspense and interesting plots that occur, and they do culminate in a pretty fantastic Tarantino ending.

Also, stupendous cinematography and nostalgically satirical depiction of WWII-era France. You'll laugh, you'll gasp, and, odds are, you'll cheer because you haven't seen something this badass in a long time. Really.

    Angels and Demons 7.5/10

I think it was a very good adaptation of the book, and having read the book made the film easier to understand.

    Inglorious Basterds- 7/10

    Simply put. Overrated.

Expected far more from this film than what i got. There was no character developement which seriously hurts the movie. It has witty and interesting moments but they are too far and between and for the most part very predictable. Someone said that Brad and company arent the focus of the story and that is correct which is a damn shame since they and their purpose was the best thing going for the movie. The best thing about the movie was the lead bad guy Landa. The character was interesting, clever, and funny but at the end he became totally stupid which made no sense at all for the character. How it is that so many people are giving this film the high ratings they are is baffling to me. Unfortuantely for Tarantino "Pulp Fiction" is still the cream of the crop with originality and execution as far as his films go. Hell, even the "Grindhouse" movies are better than this. Weak.

Gotta disagree. The whole movie was character development at it's best. They even developed characters that would die in the next scene ( like the undercover British officer). Pulp was his most entertaining, this was his best IMO.

    District 9: 8/10

Very good take on the what happens when Aliens arrive and only want to go home and have no desire to overtake our planet. How will the Gov't handle them and their advanced Alien weapon technology.

Also, A.I. - Meh/10. They should have lopped off the last 15mins IMO.

You got that right. Its a sad day in cinematic history when i prefer to watch Transformers 2 over a Tarantino film.

It just shows you the genius of this movie!

88% at Rotten Tomatoes is a pretty high consensus: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/inglourious_basterds/

But on the same token I can understand why people would not like this movie. As I stated in my review, you better want to hear 20 minute conversations. It takes a certain mindset to watch a movie like that. Even when I eventually buy this movie, I doubt I'll watch it often because it takes a lot to WANT to watch it. Its easier to turn off your brain and watch Transformers than it is to watch a movie like this!
