I loved the movies from 2019. Parasite, Lighthouse, 1917, etc.

Ted Lasso was a good TV show from the last year, not sure when it was actually filmed though.

    “Nobody”

I would give it 5/10. A lot of action, but not much of a plot. Typical Barney Joe BA movie, but you know that going in.

"Well. I didn't think you had it in you."

    "I'm your huckleberry.

Why, Johnny Ringo. You looked like somebody just walked over your grave."

    "Fight's not with you, Holliday...."

Yeah, been a long time since I seen this movie. I'm going to keep this avy for a while. LMK if the language is obnoxious.

    Big Lebowski
    0/10

Unwatchable filth. I had lofty expectations but ended up with extreme disappointment. I’d rather watch sharknado

Aliens. A masterpiece of sci fi and horror. 10/10. A perfect movie in every way. Sigourney Weaver is a warrior queen.

Im trying to remember everything that ive watched in the last couple of years during the pandemic. Im sure there are some more independent and obscure things ive seen that im missing (recently watched 2017's "Rabbit" which was a mind**** but cool). Here are the films i can remember really liking and thinking were "good but not great" films.

    Great: 2019

    The Gentlemen
    Godzilla: King of the Monsters
    Knives Out

    Good: 2019

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
    Midway
    Joker
    Little Women
    Under a Silver Lake
    Avengers: Endgame

    Great: 2020

    The Vast of Night

    Good: 2020

    The Empty Man
    The Hunt
    Bacurau
    The Invisible Man

    Great: 2021

    Godzilla vs Kong
    Fear Street Trilogy

    Good: 2021

    Wrath of Man

I watched the Fear Street Trilogy today. The third was the best, followed closely by the first and second.

Really solid storytelling. The editing and camera work was top notch. Sans a few HORRIBLE lines, the dialogue was quite good.

I might have to check this out. Saw the first one--wasn't horror, but it was worth the watch.

The order in their release - but I think the spicy way would be to go 1, 3, 2.
