I finally got around to seeing Scott Pilgrim, 9/10 or maybe 9.5. Let's say 9.5. Watched it twice.

I'm doing an A24 tour of Netflix now.

Moonlight 8.75/10. Didn't know what to expect going in. If someone told me, I might skip it. Glad I didn't, hell of a good movie.

The End of the Tour - 8/10

This is a serious not-for-everyone type of movie. This is artsy-fartsy as far away from Running Man and Terminator as you can get.

Ok, when you are ready for that, and you already have some appreciation of the writer David Foster Wallace, doesn't have to be fanboi-ish, I know I'm no fanboi--something about it speaks to the essence of the human experience.

I hate the main actor, Jesse Eisenberg. Want to kick him in the nuts kind of disdain. Not sure why.

And David Foster Wallace himself, what a ...

So, weirdly interesting movie that I want to watch again. Kind of like Foster Wallace, not sure why I ended up reading essays on tennis written by him, but there you go. Dude had a knack for the cerebral side of things.

Scott Pilgrim is damn near close to a classic for me, and it probably is at this point. I rented it on a whim because I liked the soundtrack and was taken aback at how perfect it captured the stupidity of youth and issues with self-esteem. I love how kinetic that whole movie is and I retroactively picked up the graphic novel and it captures it perfectly. Edgar Wright makes some really fun movies, but that is my favorite from him.

Also since I started eating like a rabbit a few years ago, I often find myself quoting Todd the Vegan:

Seeing Scott Pilgrim in theaters my senior year of high school with all my friends and knowing nothing about it was probably the most fun I’ve ever had at the movies. Good shit.

"This is Water" by DFW is one of my favorites. I will check this out.

    Sniper. 8/10
Great movie as always. Tom berenger does a good job and Zane is so young. Looks like my cousin. Kinda funny. I have been on a military kick lately. They need to make more movies like sniper. Such good movies. So fun.

I think I am going to watch that bruce willis war/sniper movie next. Tears of the sun. Also a good one. I really like the stealthy incursions and quiet ambushing of foe. They need more movies like this, as said above.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

It’s perfecter for adults who get all of the fun inside jokes and pop culture references.

Well, i still love Godzilla so i probably would not hate it. I mean, i love stuff like Finding Nemo too and those are meant for kids as well. I just like enjoyable movies and have seen that listed on Netflix and what not.
