I’m sorry. I’m still not reading your Scorcese rants though.

    The irishman 4/10

what the **** did i just watch.

A bunch of old men trying to curb stomp peoples hands in slow motion?

It looked so fake. Like a grandpa trying to stomp a fly out.

This movie i kept falling asleep watching, i couldnt believe how boring it was. One of the worst Scorsese films i have seen. And there is some good parts to it, but it became so dull and boring.

Think I'll pass. I am curious enough to want to weigh in though.

Watched The Aftermath with Keira Knightley, Jason Clarke and Alexander Skarsgard on the flight back from Germany to US on Saturday. It's a movie about British wife that joins her husband (Colonel) in Hamburg post WWII when the British and allies were running post WWII Germany.

It was a good watch, probably 8/10, and worth watching. Besides solid acting, it gives some insight into how both sides were effected by heavy bombing and "The Aftermath" of it.

It's not a perfect movie - but feel grateful to have gotten one more Scorsese mob epic. As someone who loves Goodfellas and Casino, I found myself giddy at times as the first hour was unfolding. There were some contrived parts - but Scorsese knows how to make a ******* movie and it shows.

My grandfather was a truck driver in the Teamsters union - so I found it particularly fascinating, even if they likely took many liberties in telling the story.

It was really interesting how Scorsese has sort of made a career out of romanticizing these lifestyles, and how he grappled with some of the issues of aging and these characters being more introspective in this one... Sure, maybe it dragged a tad - but a great film overall.

I will now watch this movie posthaste. I trust Buff almost implicitly re: movies, his LOTR take notwithstanding.

I almost dialed it up this weekend based on King's negative review, but put it off. . . big time investment and all.

    Mama Mia
    chick flick/10

My GF made me watch it with her for her Bday. I had to watch it and like it. Items of note:

    1. It is for girls and gays
    2. It is for big big Abba fans
    3. This movie is the equivalent of going to your wifes friends 2 year old bday party. Nothing bad about it, but literally anything else you could have been doing with that time you will be thinking about.
    4. Pierce Brosnan is literally one of the worst singers known to man.
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

This seems a little hasty. If she's hot enough then it's worth suffering through these things. I think we need some pics.

I'm a big ABBA fan, so I liked the movie. Might not have watched it if the wife didn't "insist", but I enjoyed it.

I also enjoy the Cranberries, so there's that...
