I like the signing. Bucks a wash, made of glass. Moreno hasn't proven anything yet and really sure what we have in the other guys although Toney seems to bring a power element Denver desperatly needs. I wouldn't be surprised to see White and Vargas end up as the best two RB's out of the bunch.

After I posted that comment then I saw a another thread that said that Buckhalter was going to see a specialist.

Fargas and White ability wise are solid players so Buckhalter is gone at least we should lose to much in the way power running with those two guys.

I feel dirty inside after reading that a former Raider is now going to be a Bronco.

I agree Fargas and White would give us a nice combination.

This is a poor pick up, Huggy Bear's son has been washed up for 2 years. I can't believe the Raiders kept him this long and disappointed he found his way on to the Broncos. We must be in bad shape for running backs, bleh.

Your feelings make me smile. But since he's not running AGAINST Denver, it won't happen.

Just turned 30, banged up, failed a physical (although he disputed it) and they decided that Bush and McFadden are the future.

Decent signing, he'll give 500% on every play. An upgrade of former Raider running backs (see Lamont Jordan).

I like the signing. He's a tough runner and a good player. Like it a lot more than the Lendale signing.

I was calling for this as soon as Moreno and Buckhalter went down. I like him as a back and I like the signing.

Even though Fargas was a Raider, I kinda liked him. Had him in fantasy for a few weeks back in 08 I think. Or 07. Cant remember. And he was pretty legit for me. But hes a pretty tough runner and never seems to give up. Plus I remember him shredding us a few years ago as well. So that memory always sticks with me.

I always enjoyed watching Fargas when he was with the Raiders. He didn't fit in there.

I thought he fit in there. Had a bunch of tattoos and looked like some punk. So I thought he fit in great there.

i wouldn't sweat it-- the history of the AFC west is absolutely littered with guys who switched teams within the division, sometimes several times. . .

lyle alzado, bill romanowski, chester mcglockton, darrien gordon, cooper carlisle, dale carter, lamont jordan, cornell green, ashley lily, etc etc ad nauseum. . .

playing against guys twice a year often breeds familiarity that results in coaches looking to add those guys when they're available. . .

hell, don't forget where we got mike shanahan. . . if fargas brings one tenth of that venom, he's more than welcome as far as i'm concerned. . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

Fargas has been the best rb on the raiders squad since they signed him....i have always noticed the power he runs with. he was completely under-utilized by the fade.
he and bush are the best backs in the stable...guess we just stole one of the 2

So that is what now, 7 RB's on the roster competing for 3 positions?

    The Denver Post

Justin Fargas will no longer be punishing the Broncos’ defense. Not on game days, anyway. Fargas, the former Oakland Raider running back, passes his physical Tuesday night and has signed with the Broncos.

Fargas is expected on the practice field for the team’s 8:45 a.m. practice Wednesday. He was signed following injuries, and hardly swift recoveries, of running backs Knowshon Moreno (hamstring), Correll Buckhalter (balck) and LenDale White (leg).

Fargas joins a camp running back group of Lance Ball, Bruce Hall and Toney Baker. The Broncos will have to make a roster move to make room for Fargas.
