I got this computer from someone on Freecycle.

It's a dinosaur, and it's been wiped clean of everything. I'm going to try installing Ubantu on it. Hope it works.

I'm not so sure now. The darn thing won't stay on for more than 2 minutes.

And now the screen won't turn on. I think it's dead.

At least it was free.

sounds like the battery went dead. look for a replacement battery on ebay, you can get them pretty cheap.
