I'm not sure what you're trying to get at? He's not the fastest person on the team?

And even though Parker might hold the title as fastest Bronco for now he will have no problem calling Alridge "Quick".

"I mean the guy is fast," Paker said. "As fast as advertised."

Yes, according to the article, Parker is the fastest Bronco. I had thought it was Champ. Guess I was mistaken.

Parker ran track in college and is younger than Champ so it shouldnt be a surprise.

“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

it was on the broncos website, i think the video "broncos building chemistry" or something like that.

it shows the end of the race and parker is like running sideways, looking back at alridge playfully...

and i don't think champ has every considered himself the fastest. i think he has lost a step, but his instincts, agility, and anticipation make him appear as fast as ever.

i remember when roc alexander was here, everyone touted him as the fastest player on the team.

Shaw, I still owe you those pictures, but bringing up Roc Alexander makes me very hesitant to give them away.

That's a bit of an overstatement. Parker got a better start, Alridge was faster once they started moving, and Parker held him off at the end.

Not a lot of guys are gonna catch Alridge in the open field, though. Once he starts moving he's gone. We just need to see if he has a role with the team, and if his hands get better. Can't be putting him in the game to catch the ball in the flat if he doesn't actually catch it. Speed doesn't help if you don't have the ball when you start downfield.

Sometime this year, though, I want to see every super-fast guy on the field at the same time. Just for fun.

it's crazy to hear about selvin taking a leadership role in his 2nd year. i heard him talk about doing it in interviews, and it's really cool. rooting for him (and alridge, but if we want speed at returner, we have royal and parker... not sure if alridge has very good odds working for him).

I would guess Selvin finds kinship with Alridge because they were both undrafted.
