Kevin Acee’s report also reveals that Jacob Hester is going to be as versatile at the pro level as he was at LSU.

I missed this fun little tidbit last week from Jerry Magee at signonsandiego, who doesn’t hide his homerism one bit.

And, since the popularity of the Tampa Bay Cheerleaders last week, I give you NBC San Diego’s Chargers Cheerleaders Gallery.

Most of us have seen this by now, but it’s Javon Walker’s statement on his weekend. And, the team brass say that Javon will be ready for camp.

Everyone in Kansas City is excited, as former Missouri receiver Will Franklin has signed his contract with the Chiefs, a four-year deal, the Star reports.

The Chiefs are also looking at designs for a new scoreboard, as Arrowhead and the Truman Sports Complex is being updated.

And, the Chiefs search for a solid group of starting receivers continues, and even Jeff Webb thinks he’s got a shot starting opposite Dwayne Bowe.

The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting now that Alex Smith’s job seems to be in jeopardy, he’s finally pushing himself to be a better quarterback.

Sfgate columnist Ray Ratto thinks that the 49ers should put their requests to various different cities for a new stadium on hold, with the tight economy.

The Falcons released first round draft pick Jimmy Williams this week, after two years and little productivity.

Could the Holt brothers actually be united on one team for the first time in their long pro careers, asks the News and Observer of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Jay Cross, the Jets’ team president resigned on Tuesday to work on his development opportunities in New York.

The Jets signed veteran Cameron Worrell on Thursday, according to the New York Post.

The New York Times reported on Wednesday that Arlen Specter is finally giving up on Spygate.

It’s not all fun and games during the offseason following a Super Bowl victory for the Giants, as two high profile athletes are causing a stir, reports the Post’s Dan Martin.

Mike Reiss’ boston.com mailbag talks about Bill Belichick and a speech he gave at Salem State College earlier this year, Brandon Meriweather’s playing time and Richard Seymour.

Jim Zorn expects the Redskins to be healthy as they head into Training Camp, and the Washington Post’s Jason Reid discusses Ladell Betts role in a video blog.

Channel six in Philadelphia reported last week that DeSean Jackson and Asante Samuel, both big pick ups for the Eagles during the offseason pulled their hamstrings in practice.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports that the Browns sent all 20 of their drafted and undrafted rookies to Canton and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, for their annual reality check.

Mike Tomlin says that no one won a job during OTAs, because he can’t tell anything when the team is practicing in shorts.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

The Chargers need to put Paul Oliver at safety... he would be much better off there. He was a great pick up by them. He was really good at Georgia.
