Thread: Cake vs Pie

Today I made a Pumpkin Chiffon Pie, with a ginger biscuit base.

Ice cream cake FTW. Not a cake eater at all but i'll eat a slice at a wedding or birthday party. Perferrably chocolate.

Apple pie is it for me. Not much on pies either.

cake !....most of the time
a good homemade pecan pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream can be hard to beat.but if i could only have one or the other for life.....cake all the way.
german chocolate,chocolate chocolate.carrot cake,spice cake with cream cheese frosting.....lemon cake....its all good

I'm not a big dessert eater. On occasion, I prefer pie over cake.

Cake is not good at all. The texture leaves much to be desired.

Pie is delicious on occasion. Especially warm pecan pie ala mode.

It depends on what kind of cake and pie..I have a recipe for homemade
pineapple cake and it is very good..not dry at all.

I like cheesecake,cream pies...my mom could make some real good
banana and coconut cream pies...also love a good carrot cake.

Pie. It's not even close.

This one bakery close to Seattle made this ab-fab German chocolate cake. They added brandy to the mix. It was the best damn cake I ever had.

Pie FTW particularly Sweet Potato.

I can't choose between cake and pie. I love dessert, my favorite part of the meal.

KC, I like the cream pies and cheesecake... yummy for the tummy.

Pie.....any kind except coconut........I hate coconut....

Coconut Cream pie is the best!! KCL...you can have your mom ship me one! Or you can just bring it to me.

I'd have to make one and bring it to you myself...mom has been gone
for years.

Pie > Cake. Mincemeat pie is the absolute King of Pie, with honorable mention going to peach pie.

German Chocolate cake is the best of that sort
