Which brings up an interesting point - why do so many homeless people pick such shitty places to inhabit? If you're going to be homeless, at least pick a nice spot to not have a home. Amirite?

100%. I mean WTF would choose Denver to be homeless? Get to Arizona or somewhere at least warm.

Is living on the beach in Hawaii really "homeless"?
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I've wondered that too, but some cities are more homeless friendly than others, and there's also crime to consider. I mean if you're homeless you're all that much more vulnerable. Portland Oregon has quite a homeless community. Ive heard (therefore can't link) that cities of other states jettison the homeless by transporting them to Portland. again, just something I heard, don't know if that's even legal or whatever.

I was homeless for a night in Ibiza once. That's a pretty cool place to be homeless, the bums probably still get laid.
