Obviously I'm a new member. My boyfriend has been bugging me to sign up to see what this whole forum thing is all about so I finally did. We only have one computer and I just wanted to make sure both of us can have user id's. They are under different emails but probably have the same IP. Timmy would not be a happy camper if I got him kick out.

There is a bit of honor system in relation to this rule. The rule is really for two purposes:

1. Stopping people from creating a second account to slam opposing points of view, drumming up fake support on a subject, or other thread manipulation type stuff.

2. Creating a new user id after their primary user id was suspended/banned.

So, while comparing IPs is definately one of the ways to attempt to identify someone having a dupe account, we always give the users the benefit of the doubt and would at most ask for clarification before doing anything.

This is the TNed thread correct? Well Tned i just want to know why are certain people allowed to make blatant homosexual remarks but i cant? Because i see them all the time but as soon as i make one the sky started falling? Is this a double standard for members who been here who can break the rules? Just want a little clarification on this rule and i wont respond to the following post. Just want a touch up on this rule. Thanks.

Lol i dont want to have to report anybody. I did it one time out of frustration but i doubt i will ever do it again. I just wanted some clarification. There is no need for me too post examples because i see them everyday and a certain mod has already admitted that you all do double standards here. So i was asking Tned like a certain mod told me to do.. Are you even a mod?

Yes you can direct all questions to me..........

Don't put words into my mouth. We allow friends to joke with each other because we know them. They like each other and it is said in good humor. From what I have seen, that is not the case with you...thus my reaction. You don't like it then take it to Tned. I am done with you.

This is the message i recieved. So you all allow *friends* to make gay jokes because they like each other? So that is assuming i dislike people on the internet? Then look at the end of the message? Does it seem like this guy is having a bad day and taking it out on me or what? I dont have any issues with anybody here. I try to make jokes out of everything. So why is this happening to me?

Im not really a mod. Or even close....... But, If your best friend calls you a "homo" (No offense Cswil) then you would take it completley different then somebody you just met.

It isnt a double standard, but an understanding of relationships. It was tense here for awhile, cause One board closed, everyone came here, and it took a while for everyone to feel each other out.

Like 5 months ago, I would have gotten in trouble for calling Dream a homo, but today it is accepted as the truth.

Not a double standard at all. IMHO. Its relationships, virtual ones, but they are still there.

There is a difference between people, for example, calling bief fka beef, gay, and someone just plain gay bashing - if you want to call someone here gay and they dont care - so be it if they have a problem with it you have crossed the line

Things are pretty loose here and each situation is looked at individually - its not too hard for our mods to figure out if someone is joking with a friend or if someone is being derogatory

Actually thats your interpretation of the post. Because i dont know the guy i was talking to a day of my life. So do i really know if hes gay or not? Do i really care if hes gay or not? It was just a joke. You cant determine how somebody is saying something from behind a computer screen. If your going to allow it then allow it all the time. When you start trying too determine who is saying what and how there saying it based off relationships then people get treated unfairly. Period.

Not true - most people here try to work out disagreements amongst each other - either via PM or privately - some of us (cough me cough) take it public but still dont involve the mods - other people are "report this post" button happy - if you get a report posted a mod HAS to address the issue - a mod usually doesnt come at you unless you flagrantly violated the COC - and it doesnt even have to be a personal attack - there are many times i forget im not in the lounge and use language in other areas of the forum that is not acceptable - i usually get a nice PM explaining why my post was edited or deleted and I never have a problem with that - if you were contacted by a mod for something you said than someone reported you - it wasnt the mods just trying to pick on you - and its not them picking or choosing what comment has crossed the line - you obviously insulted someone and they didnt like it and felt it necessary to report you - dont get on the mods or start crying double standards - just watch what you say and who you say it to

So Atwater reported me?? Awwww im sorry Atwater27. But its stilla double standard when you say **We allow certain people to make homo remarks** No matter which way you try to put it. But anyway your not Tned but thanks for trying to explain something.
