    Default NFL Supplemental Draft

Does anybody see the Broncos looking at additional player prospects during the NFL Supplemental Draft on 16 July? I'm not comfortable with our RB depth. I've read the all-time leading rusher for BYU, Harvey Unga, has declared for the supplemental draft. He's projected to be a fullback and might help the Broncos. I looked all over for a current list of players who declared for the supplemental draft on 16 July and just couldn't find one

If I'm not mistaken only three players are eligible this year for the supplemental draft (compared to eight last year). Here are the guys.

With the way the supplemental draft works, the worst 6 teams getting to vie for rights to draft and then any non-playoff team after that, I don't see the Broncos having a chance at a player they desire. Especially Harvey Unga who will likely be taken first over any of the others declared eligible for the supplemental draft.

Personally I don't think the Broncos will declare their desire to partake in the supplemental draft this year.

Isn't Eckles (FB) status injured/waived? That leaves Larsen as the only FB on the roster who also plays LB. Not sure what Coach McDaniels will do.

Not that it improves our depth at all, but the last interview I read with Larsen seemed to imply that his days at LB were over, and that he was going to be FB full time now.

I imagine your talking about Frank Schwabs story?

Also Eckel has been waived due to injury and I do believe that makes Larsen our exclusive FB at the moment.

Probably how it will stay. We don't use a fullback enough to really justify having a second one on the roster, and if we end up in a pinch we can use one of the backup tight ends or Hochstein back there.

Looks like he went to the Bears in the 7th.
