the hi-5 demo forum has probably outlived it's usefulness, and it might be time to clean up the stickies in some forums, as well-- for example, the "advisory board disbanded" one is kinda old news now. . . .![]()
- John Elway“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”
Now that I am finished with class, I would like to offer any coding help on an as needed basis. My php-fu isn't awesome, but this would give me an excuse to hone my skills.
Just putting this out there if things get overwhelming.
I got mind control while I'm here
You goin' hate me when I'm gone
Ain't no blood clot and no fear
I got hope inside of my bones
I appreciate the offer. If I something comes up, I will give you a shout. There is virtually no PHP customization that I am doing, because it is a killer every time vBulletin comes out with a new update. All custom code (to a degree, they do have a hook/plugin system you can use) has to be reapplied. I spent the weekend testing on the backup server and making a checklist of the current mods to templates/themes and other stuff, so that I could upgrade to the new vBulletin release without breaking anything in place.
So, that's a long way of saying that even though vBulletin is coded in PHP, I have resisted the temptation to modify any of the PHP code, because it will come back to haunt me/us later.
