Oh, yeah! Joe Walsh!!!
I saw him do this song and others including Rocky Mountain Way with the silhouette of Picks Peak behind him in an outdoor concert in Colorado Springs! It was the best! When Walsh joined the Eagles, it was a marriage made in heaven.

No way I could pick just one. We've done a top 5 or 10 list somewhere, and even those are hard for me to do. Joe Walsh is cool though.
WAY too hard, even before we consider the widely divergent tastes that fit under the broad umbrella of "rock" (should I vote for "Oh Boy" or "Time" 'cos I think they're BOTH incredible songs, but very hard to compare, and I have to confess there's times I enjoy "Master of Puppets" too.... )
I think I'd still go with "Time" but while a phenomenal song in its own right (best Pink Floyd song, from the best Pink Floyd album) there's a lot of history there that makes objectivity impossible. And that's probably true for pretty much everyone when it comes to their choice for "Best" song/album/band/whatever.
I'm not saying it's not a good question; if anything, just the opposite, but I don't expect any kind of definitive answer.
Oh, valid point. I thought you meant all starters, you should take the time to be more descriptive, don't be shy. —Jaded
