Looks like Paramount announced there are two Star Trek movies in the works. It's rumored that one will be Quentin Tarantino (worries me a bit) and the other a female director (forgetting her name). It's thought one will be a prequel with Chris Hemsworth as George Kirk.

At the same time, CBS is bringing in the guy that headed up Wrath of Kahn to work on three movies for CBS All Access (where Star Trek Discovery lives), but Paramount has sued since CBS owns TV rights and Paramount owns movie rights. I guess streaming "TV Movies" is a pretty murky area in terms of is it a movie or is a TV show.
