I grew up with Roger Moore as bond, so he was the first one I knew, even though many people didn't like him as Bond. Overall, I think Craig, Pierce Brosnan and Connery were my favorite bonds, with Craig on the one's he's done my favorites by far.

I hope they don't completely ruin this next one with messaging. It's a fiction/story, so is it really that bad he's a misogynist? It's part of the character. Looking forward to it regardless and hopefully the keep the series good.

I know that Dune is my kind of gig. I've never read the books. But a relative bought me Herbert's complete works when I was a teen. I was excited about this. I carefully made book covers by hand for each. But I never read them. It was intimidating somehow. Whatever.
Read the books, they are great. Much better than the early or late movies (or maybe one was a mini-series, I can't remember). Regardless, the books are great and you should go ahead and read them.

First Bond movie I saw in theaters was License to Kill with Timothy Dalton and I thought he was a solid Bond. Brosnan was good in Goldeneye, too, but those movies went off the rails after that. My favorite of the Craig ones so far was Casino Royale.

Timothy Dalton’s movies were pretty good.

Casino Royale is a perfect movie and the movie that made me love Bond movies. And it also has the best Bond song by Chris Cornell. I still have the movie ticket. 2006!

Brosnan's Die Another Day has to get an honorable mention...

I got a chuckle out of that. I know the movie is going to be more about her dealing with the invisible man, but I still just got a chuckle.

She's a pretty good actress, I bet it will be a good movie.

The Dalton movies are so vastly underrated. Despite the fact he wasnt a popular Bond (at the time they were vying heavily for Brosnan) the movies were well written and executed quite well.

I'll have to check them out again, not sure I've ever rewatched after I originally watched them.

I do think in large part the first Bond a person is exposed to in their childhood is how they first "see" Bond, which is why I actually liked Moore as Bond, since the first handful of Bond movies were his cheesy ones.

Live and Let Die was good, but his movies were generally too campy and slow for my preferences.

    Moonraker made me fall asleep.

Moore will always be my favorite. Live and Let Die, For Your Eyes Only, and Octopussy are some of my alltime favorite films. Obviously as you said Moore was my first introduction so that is probably why he remains at the top of the list. But i remember when Dalton took over there was a lot of negativity because he wasnt the "sexy" pick. But after having gone and watched them in the theaters i was quite impressed with them. I actually prefer him over Brosnan but like i said i think part of Pierce's problem is that the movies just werent all that well written. Cant remember if i ranked them but they would go like this,

    Moore
    Craig
    Dalton
    Connery
    Brosnan.

Moore had some duds in there. Even Walken couldnt save from a View to a Kill.

There’s been some promo footage of Denis Villeneuve's DUNE shown to people already. Here’s a BUNCH of details on what they’ve saw:

-Cast looks phenomenal in their costumes.
-The sets are ENORMOUS; same scope as BR2049 and ARRIVAL.
-Mix of grimy realism and dreamlike imagery.
-Timothée Chalamet as Paul looks excellent.
    -Rebecca Ferguson looks “eerie”.
-Dave Bautista looks like a “monster” as the Beast.
    -Cinematography looks excellent.
Can't remember ever looking forward to a movie. This is a first.

Hawg, should I read Dune. Should I go down that rabbit hole?
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.
