Absolutely. Yes. I'll ... idk.. buy you whatever trinkets hobbits love if the book doesn't surprise you buy its combination of plot, philosophy, and imagination.

For real dude, drop your weekend plans and dig in. My 11 y/o son says it's his favorite book of all time--he's read all the Harry Potters. This shit was written in '65. I just read it. It didn't change my life or anything, but I'm now super stroked for this movie and the book was fire.

Dune was a TOUGH read for me, probably because I am more of a sci-fi fantasy fan than straight up science fiction. I do remember enjoying it for the most part, and the movie just confused me. Maybe time to revisit.

I read it probably 30+ years ago, but really liked it. Can't remember if I only read the first books or, some of the newer ones too.

    Cool.

I'm oddly hype about WW84. Dune ofc more, but those two.

Denis Villeneuve has earned all my love after his 1-2-3 punch of Sicario, Arrival, and Blade Runner 2049. We might have to go see Dune together, I will bring The Spice.

Don't forget Prisoners and Enemy. Both are also phenomenal. I have a lot of thoughts on the movie Enemy.

I had never heard a Billie Ellish song until her Grammy performance (I listen to sports talk and Sirius XM mostly) and while I think she has an interesting voice, it seems like she is just whispering over some cool beats half the time. Not my thing, but I guess I can see why some people like it. Agreed that its a good Bond theme though.

This is why we can’t have nice things.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

I know you've never seen it. If you had, we wouldn't be having this conversation

You haven’t seen “13 Going on 32” either.
