Thread: Movies your looking forward to?

I love the premise that the zombies are contained to Vegas and the heist movie angle:

Started out ok then just limped along… much like getting bit by a zombie!

I actually went back and read the book recently in preparation! Love Denis Villenvenue (sp?) as well after the last Blade Runner movie I’ll watch anything by him.

Son and I both read Dune for 1st time, we are stoked to watch.

I watched the original movie for the first time during Covid lockdown.

I was non-plussed.

I remember my older Sister being a huge fan of the book, but I can't remember her saying anything about the movie.

So. . . did the original movie do the book justice? I can't hardly justify reading the book or watching another version of the movie based on what I saw.

Awesome trilogy and more. Maybe my favorite SciFi trilogy...still there is Foundation.

Been so long since I've read them, did he write them all, or did his children write one or more books? I was thinking something like that happened.

We recently rewatched the movie after having not watched it since close to the time it was originally released, and the special effects are laughable.

Going by memory, I think the biggest thing was the movie just rushed through much of Maudibs (sp??) journey. I seem to remember, as is often the case, the movie simply not doing the story justice.

There was also a Dune mini-series.

Again, it's been many, many decades, but I recall enjoying all the books, including those written by the son.

Actually, going and looking at a list of books, looks like I haven't either. I had in my head one of the trilogy, I was thinking children of dune, was written by the kid, but when I just checked, those were all Frank Herbert.

It was early 80's when I read them, but I think it was just three books I read.
