After Rambo give her commando training (he might also give training to a guy in her unit who's in love with her), they go off together to get revenge.

One of my favorite books growing up. Loved the creepy art in it, and it looks like the movie is matching that style very nicely for the monsters:

Lots of people are complaining that this is PG-13 but for gods sake this was a children's book essentially, we don't need horror torture porn. Atmospheric horror and storytelling is a lost art in modern horror, hopefully this film can remind people that gore doesn't always equal scary. Its why I still love movies like the original Poltergeist or The Entity still hold up to me. That damn clown doll dragging the kid under the bed was the PERFECT thing for me to watch when I was 6 years old. Slept like a baby that night!

Those books are generational. I bought them for my nephew and he loves them.

I hate horror/gore style. Give me Poltergeist any day. The Shining.

Can you not just stay on your side of the board when it comes to my name being brought up? Is it just not possible? With as much mutual respect as I can muster.... **** off.

Taking my mopey, bored and aloof 13-year old daughter and a couple of her friends (along with their Dad whose a close friend of mine) to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood Sunday afternoon.

Can't wait. Obviously -we- want to see it and the girls think they're getting to do something kind of iffy with Tarantino's reputation for violence and the "R" rating. If they get bored they'll in all likelihood text each other how stupid the movie is or go to the lobby. Or it could be a gore-fest and they'll love it.

Either way I think the Dads win in this case.
