He pulled off Clerks 2 pretty well, and Brodie is still one of my all time favorite movie characters. I think Kevin Smith may have peaked with Chasing Amy, but most of his stuff has been interesting not counting Jersey Girl and CopOut. Not always good mind you, but interesting.

1941 (Is in fact a spoof of actual historical events.)
Space Quest (original Star Trek tv show, spoof better than the original.)
Mafia (Godfather trilogy, never watched the original trilogy, but the spoof was great anyways.)
Airplane (Airport series of movies, spoof much better than the original movies.)
Spaceballs (original Star Wars trilogy, most Star Wars fans that like spoofs like this one more than I do, but it was good.)
Police Academy (Started off as a great spoof of the Police, until they made too many sequels)
Men In Black (X-Files, never cared for the original, but I love all 3 of the spoofs.)

Is this a spin off from the old Legion of Doom, or is it something separate ?

Totally separate. The comic is basically that they use villains from prison to do high risk covert missions for the government in exchange for freedom or other perks. Most of the assignments are basically suicide missions, hence the name Suicide Squad. They are considered to be deniable assets if they are ever caught. Its basically the Mission:Impossible squad from DC except they are all bad guys. The Legion of Doom is basically a collection of bad guys that just want to fight the Justice League.

    That looks intriguing.

I love Westerns. I don't understand why they don't get made anymore. That genre is so rich, and full of options.

Strange thing is that many independent movies have adopted the western genre. Dead Man’s Burden comes to mind as one I checked out recently that was pretty good. And of course we at least get one good one every few years like the Assassination of Jesse James, 3:10 to Yuma, and True Grit. This will be Tarantino's second Western and I will welcome more from him if its as good as Django.

The only Tarantino films I didn't care for much were Jackie Brown and Death Proof, but I love Russell as Stuntman Mike in the first part of Death Proof.
