that movie with Reese Witherspoon that's out or soon to be out looks promising. I'm a sucker for previews/movie commercials though.

Can you do that from a phone? This company housing doesn't have internet or cable yet, they keep promising it and I'm sick of watching hulu on my phone

I have an app called "Flipps HD"...this app lets you stream the movies right to your tv from your phone. Wirelessly or I believe it can be done through a USB as well. Use it in hotels all the time. Check it out. I got the app when it was free from "app gratis" (the free app a day app). Not sure if it is free still or has a price.

From what I could tell, the TV has to be a smart TV. Is that the case?

I don't know what constitutes a smart tv now. But it will pick up and work on any tv connected to the Internet or on a network. Like I said I have used it through a USB directly to the tv but it's been a while as now that they have updated it to "flipps" - used to be a different company name- it's been wireless which is just easier.


If you want pudge, tonight when I get home I can try and connect usb to my tv and see if it still works. My tv is old, like 10 years so if it works on it I would assume it will work on any tv.

A smart TV is any TV with integrated internet.

Oh, in that case tonight I will hook up to the tv through USB and see if it still works.

Only if Pudge has a wireless network that both the chromecast and his phone can connect to. I don't believe you can connect directly to the chromecast.
