Default What was your first bronco game?

    Who was the QB?

    Mine was like about 1967...

The QB was Steve Tinsi. He had blond hair that was just creeping out from under his helmet and the two old geezers next to my Dad kept calling him a dirty hippy.

That was before Mile High... it was called Bears Stadium.

I saw them all from day one.

Tensi was the name reminded me of Elway big and blond could not run a lick though Got him from SAN because of his arm. but after awhile every time he'd call signals he'd flinch when the ball was hiked to him. Cause he knew he was gonna get hit. The old OLINE really sucked.

IN fact one of my HS football coaches was Eldon Danahower (sp) a former OT from the broncos. One big SOB, no one argued with him.

Malin Briscoe. Strong arm, no accuracy.

Could throw the rock into the second deck . . . and often did.

We wasted his talent here, so he moved on and became an all-star receiver
for the Miami Dolphins, I believe.

    Mine was October 9th, 2006.

Jake Plummer was the QB and we played the Ravens. We won, but it was cold!!!

December 12, 2004 Miami at Denver

    Jake was the starter.

This game was even greater for me since...

    1) Tatum Bell was my favorite player and it was his first ever NFL start

    2) Up until I was about 5, I was a Miami Dolphin fan because of my grandpa. I came to my senses when I saw how cool John Elway was, but it was still cool to see my favorite and former favorite team in the same game, with my grandpa

    Broncos won 20-17

I was like 7-8 I think. I have the exact date on the ticket at home somewhere...dont know if off the top of my head.

Elway was the QB we were playing the Chiefs. WE WON!

Even though I was pretty little I am still so grateful that I got to see Elway play a couple times in person!

I think I have two...but can't remember which one came first.

It was either the Monday Night game against the Raiders at home where we had a 28-0 lead at the half or something rediculous and they came back to win...

    --or--

It was a game against the Colts and Eric D ickerson ran all over us and once again we lost.

    Default It's stayin'

You know, I was going to move this over into the "What's On Your Mind" forum,
but this is a "getting to know you" thread and a great addition to this forum.
I think I'll leave it right here.

My first game? September 9, 1960, Denver Broncos vs. Boston Patriots.
Denver's logo is the very same as my avvy. I didn't know anything about
those striped socks yet, though, because everything was black & white on
TV back then . . . on our TV, anyway.

Not many AFL games would be televised for some time because of sheer lack
of respect for the league, but this game was a novelty, being the first AFL
    game ever played.

Well, by the time the dust settled and the blood level on the field had come
down to ankle height, Denver had won its first game, and our $25,000
franchise was a reality. And quarterback Frank Tripucka had his first win
under his belt, on his way to having his #18 retired by the Broncos.

As the game started, I was a Green Bay Packers fan. By the final gun, I
was a Denver Broncos fan. And I stayed that way through fourteen years
of loss and humiliation for our beloved franchise, before our first winning
    season.

Fourteen years. They don't call me bandwagon around these parts.

all this time I thought you were in the stands with me. Back in front of the TV well it was something to see Live.

Never had been to a big time big league game before in hindsight it was pretty pitiful how is was put on in Bears stadium. But is got better each year.

My first game: 1996 Divisional Playoffs Jacksonville 30, Denver 27. I'd gotten tickets through my dad's co-worker and I was thrilled (as thrilled as a 27 year old kid could be ) . It'd be my dad, me, my best friend from childhood, and 75,000 of my closest friends.

rguably our darkest football loss in the history of the franchise.
