lol Michael Smith is usually right, I'm actually surprised you don't know who he is - he's one of the better ESPN analysts/reporters whatever you want to call him.

he is right about this though.....
    The Plan at the moment:

Draft: Trade a 3rd and 6th this year to a team to move up and get a 2nd next year (this will happen).

    Players I want:
Jake Ferguson (Jake Butt) or Jelani Woods or Jeremy Ruckert or Cade Otten (owen daniels) at TE- All 4th rd or later.
Troy Anderson LB 3rd/4th rd (yay Timmy!)
Neil Farrell, JR DL- run stuffer- bye purcell

i think trading down for pouncey is McDraft's ideal scenario, so this seems pretty credible to me. . . .
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

A center in the first round? What does this guy do? Snap it to himself and pick up five yards a carry?

At least he doesn't have us drafting Tebow.

This is the first draft ever that I'm actually not looking forward to in fear of all these guys we could draft with our first pick, and have no business drafting.

a center controls the line blocking...a center against a 3-4 must be able to handle the NT...bolts and chiefs i believe are 3-4 defenses

pouncy with clady ,harris , kuper makes our line dominate for years

late first-early second is the typical spot for the top ranked center to come off the board. . . pouncey's stock is probably a little bit elevated due to the tremendous success that team had in the SEC. . .

if we dropped down to #24, for example, i think he'd be a perfectly fine pick there. . .

Thats how I was last year. I knew we were not going to take a Qb, and successfully called Knowshon.....But because Josh was new to this I was worried and crapping my pants until sanchez and freeman went off the boards.

After that i was happy as a clam.

I fully understand the importance of a center, I just am not used to them going in the first round. I have seen plenty of supposedly great centers go in the second day of drafts.

actually, the guy's pretty damn good. a former LA Times (i believe) reporter who's a veteran at burning through the phone lines. plus, he wrote the book that inspired "the blind side," which was actually almost ALL right.

but you knew this, didn't this. i think you're stirring the pot. again.

No, but five yards a carry do not happen unless there are holes.

There seemed a dearth of those late last year . . .
