Thread: A Personal Failure

Well, tonight is a tough night for me. I really don't know how to explain how it exactly happened, but it did, and now I am going to have to pick up the pieces because of the decisions I made.

About two months ago I was down in Miami and went out for dinner and drinks by myself like I do most nights when I am on the road working.

One thing led to another and I had an affair. I felt guilty, but told myself it would never happen again.

Three days ago the woman in question contacted me and told me she was pregnant. Yesterday I told my wife. I guess it is too early to say what is going to happen.

Like I said, it is going to be a tough time for me, and I just felt I owed it all to you guys in the event you detect things might be different with me.

I didn't know where to place this thread, and thought maybe Religion was a bad place to put it, and I have not been very heavenly about this, put if you can, maybe thing good thoughts about my family.

I consider you guys my internet family, whom I can share and explore ideas and throughts I would never share with my terrestrial family and friends. I can't explain it, but I am sure you know what I am talking about.

Beef....you know how I feel about you going public with this. I just have this nagging feeling it's a bad idea. You still have time to delete the thread.

But should you choose not to, you know you have my support. We've talked about this extensively and I'll always be here to lend an ear when you need it.

Well I hope everything works out. I always make things worse anyways so I'll stay out of it but thats crazy stuff. I hope everything works out and hopefully nothing like that happens again.

The good thing is you were honest. Like jmvp i have nothing to say that would be good or bad, but i will hope for ya.

How does she know shes preg with you though anyways? She could have you narrowed down to her elite 8 I guess and you were 1 of several people she called.

I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers Beef. Try your best to open your mind and heart to God in your time of need. There is a family that is very close to my family going through a similar ordeal, and throughout it, both of the spouses became much closer to God. They still have a lot to over come, but it's honestly amazing to me how much their closeness to God has eased tensions and changed them both for the better. I can only hope you can strengthen your relationship with God. Godspeed Beef.

I agree that it is a wack thing to joke about and I didn't realize it until I saw Sneakers thread and realized that its already April 1st.
So I don't know what to expect.

Pretty crazy ish cause anyone can joke about anything on this day.

Uhhh.. holy shit. I've been away for most of the offseason and the first time I check in really in a few weeks and this is the first thing I see? It's probably just coincidence with teh date that this falls on, so if it is man, I gotta say you did the right thing in telling your wife. I hope everything works out alright for you in the end beef, I really do. To be honest, I'm going to be checking in a lot more, especially in this thread, to see how you're doing with the whole situation. Honestly, I've always considered you and cswil like big brothers that like to bust my balls a lot.
