Beef and I exchanged a few messages, and its a very tough time for him right now. I have suggested he seek counseling from a trusted clergyman.

But I can tell you from some shitty first hand experience (i know, kind of young for this kind of first hand experience) There's always the chance for forgiveness as long as its what you truly want and you can make her see it. A mistake is a mistake, and there's nothing to change about it, but doing right by your wife from here on out is the ONLY thing you can do now.
