    Default rising wr's from pft

    1. Mike Williams, Syracuse: "He needed to have a big week, and he did," Rang said. Williams' off-field concerns are serious, but he's a physical beast and made a lot of tough grabs.

    2. Carlton Mitchell, South Florida: The 6'2, 215-pound receiver has speed that translates on the field. He ran a 4.49 and looked fluid for his size.

    3. Damian Williams, USC: Rang said he was not surprised by Williams' excellent day. He ran a 4.4 and showed quick feet on a day where we saw a lot of weak routes. He could sneak into the first round.

    4. Taylor Price, Ohio: Cornerback Kyle Wilson said Price was the best receiver he saw at the Senior Bowl. The small school player caught every single pass thrown to him Sunday. He ran a 4.41.

I'd put my money on CJ Spiller being that guy. He's a better all around back than Best, and just as fast.

    Combine winners
    QB
John Skelton-Showed off his cannon, but he wasnt as accurate as many would have liked. Pretty solid though. Also showed incredible athleticism for basically a 6'6" guy. Ran well, did everything solid. Raised his stock considerably. This guy is a physically imposing guy. Even Deon was impressed!
(Too bad for DEN!Dammit!!) I think i had him in my pre combine mock if i am not mistaken....just sayin...
Jevan Snead-Threw well, and showed the big arm he has. Helped himself into the bottom of the 2nd top of the 3rd. If he goes to a team that can groom him, he could be really good.
Zac Robinson- did everything well, and showed hes an athlete. not a huge arm, but hes accurate, and hes athletic. Not bad at all.
Armanti Edwards- Looked really good! Man, i was suprised! This guy could be a "wildhorses/wildcat" sleeper. I am tellin ya, this guy will play in the NFL somewhere.
Didnt run the 40, which was disappointing, but he did everything else really well.
Hes just too short though to be a proto-typical QB. Could be a slot guy, but not running the 40 hurt him a bit. Didnt someone on this site have him in their pre combine mock?!?! HUH.

Tony Pike- Sucks, and looks like a reject in those outfits. Man this guy needs a pizza. Threw just OK. He doesnt have a NFL arm. Sorry folks.
Sean Canfield-Dang it! I had high hopes for Sean, but he really blew it. Didnt throw well, and just isnt anything to write home about.
Colt McCoy- Hes 6'1". And he didnt throw. Sorry, Colt, no way.

    RB
    WINNERS
Montario Hardesty- Gee yet another guy i had in my pre-combine mock!
This dude is a motherf***in beast!!! He did every drill basically better than anyone else, and ran fast as hell. Yeah, basically hes gonna be good.
Ryan Matthews- This guy is straight up solid! Ive watched alot of his games, and man, he looked even more polished at the combine! I mean, SUPER QUICK feet, really fluid motion, fast, big, thick, freakin RB. Hes now a 1st round player.
Toby Gerhart- Wow, just WOW! This guy also helped himself considerably. Faster than many thought, hes also an imposing looking dude. He has pretty good skills too. I was suprised at his quick feet!
Ben Tate - So happy to see so many solid RBs considering DEN needs another mid round guy. This guy reminds everyone of Brandon jacobs, but faster!
    RB LOSERS
Joe McKnight- Just NOT a NFL RB. I dont see a place in the NFL for McKnight. Maybe a KR/PR guy. I dunno. he lacked everything, everywhere.
Jonathan Dwyer-Just looked OK. Nothing special.
LaGarrett Blount - Please see Jonathan Dwyer.
    WR WINNERS
Golden Tate- Fast, and showed good hands. Not the best drill guy in the world, but hes a really good one. Too short though.
Mike Williams- Jeez, this guy is going to really make some teams ponder. Looked good in all phases.
    WR LOSERS
Arrelious Benn- Hi! My names "stone hands"
Jordan Shipley- I thought this guy was supposed to be fast, and agile, and had incredible hands and could fly to the.....oh! Can you say overrated!?!?!? Looked feable, yes, feable out there.
Eric Decker- Revealed he needs another foot surgery. Bye.
Dezmon Briscoe- Meh. Ran a 4.6, but other than that, looked like Claymore running routes out there.

    WINNER?LOSER?
Damian Williams- Ran a slow 40, but looked good in drills. Runs really precise, NFL routes.
The guys a real ?. Dont know. Just dont know.

Add Brady to the list. Have you seen the footage on NFL Network of Brady when he attended the combine? Dude was so skinny you could actually see his ribs.

We all know how that turned out. If the kid can make all the throws, most teams will look past his physique.

Jeff Owens DT ran a 5.00 40 yard dash and put up 44 bench reps. Looks big enough to play Nose also. This is a guy id like to know more about. He's projected to go in the 3rd or 4th round as of before the combine.

Mike Mayock just menioned that he thinks Brian Price looks better at Nose than at a 3 technique. IVe never thought about this. What do you guys think?

I'd personally project Owens to go in the 5th or 6th. He's actually had a 40 time under 5.00 before, but I'd be surprised if he weighed more than 305. I dont think he can handle the NT spot

I think he's too light to play NT. Price is my nominee for the biggest bust of the DT group. He's too light to play NT or 3 tech, not quick enough to play 2-gap and has way too many bad habits (lunging, playing from his knees) to move to DE and be a 5-tech.

Taylor Mays ran a 4.24 and 4.34 40 time. Also had 41" vertical.

Damn! Maybe that'll stop his slide somewhat.

6'3", 230 lbs. They are now calling it an official time of 4.43, but it's still the best time of all DB's. 41" vertical and 10 foot broad jump. Plus, he's looking REALLY good in the drills. Moving as fluid as a 180 cornerback. He's definitely helping himself.

Eric Berry ran a 4.47. Joe Haden ran a 4.62

Still doesnt change the fact that hes Roy Williams V 2.0
But i just love that hes making a case for the 1st, cause some team will draft him.

    2 words, one name.

Everyone and their mother knew Mays was going to be a workout warrior. This shouldn't surprise anyone.

I'd still take Berry before Mays all day everyday.

But at least we know who the Raiders are going to pick.
