    There is a God!
“When we do find that guy, we’ve got to have the continuity on the offensive side to where we can train him and develop him and get him there. This is our fourth offense in probably three or four years. Quarterbacks need to be developed. You don’t find one ready-made. We got to have a solid system in place for when we do go after whatever guy it may be, a young guy or a trade or whatnot.”

And cut DJ Jones and Bolles. Stop half-assing it and do a proper tear down.

PS2 does no good on this team.

When this franchise started climbing out of its first hole this century, it was by selecting Von Miller (with Champ and Dawkins behind him). I guess he did no good on this team either.

Refresh my memory. What did they win with Champ?

Several division titles, two AFC Championship visits, and a Super Bowl appearance.

With Talib, Chris Harris Jr., and another first rounder at CB (Roby), they won the Super Bowl.

And Champ was retired by then. Also, you named three DBs here. Not just one stud.

Was it Von Miller that pulled us out of the hole or was it a guy named Peyton Manning? I dunno, but before the SB 50 defense was a thing, the Broncos had a record setting offense and PFM, DT, Decker, Stokely/Welker, and OJ were real fricking weapons. Yes, the defense got us over the hump and were the stars of SB 50, no doubt, but that same defense were 9-7 the next year without that franchise QB and offense to pull its weight. I’d also argue that defense was way more about Von, Ware, Malik, and Wolfe than it was the no fly zone. The pass rush made the NFZ’s job way easier.

Our defense doesn’t have the talent currently to use PS2 and put him in the best position for success. He’s wasting his time and the Broncos money (they will either need to extend him this year, trade him, or he’ll likely hold out) on the current roster when he could be used to help cement players to rebuild around. We need a FQB, a new LT, an edge player, and Interior D-Line help before we worry about an all pro CB.

Manning would not have signed here without 2011. 2011 was not possible without Von and that defense.

Talented players don't sign where they see no supporting cast and no talent. Hunter just went to go play with Will Anderson. Ware came to play with Von. Talib came to play with all of them. That's how it works. PS2 is one player, but having really good players is how you build.

I get wanting to keep PS2, I don’t get keeping PS2 and ignoring the QB situation.

They should just get another Manning then, sounds so simple.

PS2 is the only asset that can get the Broncos the QB prospect they (and every other team in the NFL) need. They’re not getting closer in ‘25 and Brock Purdy is a dream (and a dumb one).

    Hope is not a strategy.
