Funny, that would be the same Kenny Irons that Bobby Turner and other staff members were talking with before the draft wouldn't it?
How many first round picks have you even suggested have they drafted? Were you not the same SoCal that said Leinart was better then Cutler and Young? Ehmmm...

Kenny Irons was a probable, but as the draft got closer he also dropped down and was not who I predicted right before RC, actually I predicted Marshawn Lynch in my final mock...and I was way off, that I openly admit. But as you know half the mocks right now are off, we all know that evaluation is up and down and will be so up until after Pro-Days, that is why it is a Pre-Combine Mock.
As for the rest, I don't care if someone likes it or not, it is again, not a mock on what I want, but what I believe. And that usually how the draft falls...lol. I doubt there is any fan of any team that is 100% satisfied with the moves their fav. team makes in an off-season, well unless you're a Pats fan.

with alot of grooming i think tebow might end up being alot like steve young. he is a natural leader and a very hard worker. who cares if we burn a 2nd on a guy who could potentially be a franchise qb? it's well worth the gamble. some of you were jumping up for joy for a 5'9 corner named alphonso smith in the 2nd and how did he pan out last year? not good. some guys take awhile to develop. so look at tebow as a work in progress or our future qb in a couple of years.

I don't think Tebow ever comes an NFL QB.. but I sure like his leadership. I like his work ethic, and I like his determination.
I feel very confident in feeling that he will never be a good enough thrower in the NFL to succeed at that position. That being said, I hope we don't use a 2nd on him.

I also don't understand why people jump all over another person for having taken the time to put together a thought out draft mock??? Why knock it? If you don't like it, so what. Put up your own mock with something different, and let people knock you. NO ONE is ever.. EVER... 100% right in guessing a single round (through all 32 teams), not to mention guessing more than one round.

Good post Ravage - as I just finished reading thru the posts, it is like OK - why are some criticizing Lancane for contents within the thread he started, which obviously took MUCH more time to do the research than it takes for someone to post something negative - directed at Lancane. Disagreeing with something is one thing - taking a SHOT at the person starting the thread is RIDICULOUS

one question.....could tebow be any worse than russell ?
what is so unfixable about the guy ?
i hav'nt watched him play but it seems he has alot of the right stuff and just has really poor throwing mechanics ....again thats just what ive heard....so why would he not be worth a shot if a talented qb guru type coach can maybe fix his issues in a couple years ?
just wondering![]()
I love Tebow. I think he has a chance to become a legit NFL starter at QB. He is definitely a project though, and if he was there in the 3rd, I'd love the pick. He has great character, is a natural leader, and from all reports out of the senior bowl, may be the most coachable kid coming out this year. If your going to take a chance on a project, this is the guy to take that chance on. The only reason I'd say no to the 2nd round, is that this draft is so top heavy (1st and 2nd round) in both O and D lineman, which is our biggest needs.
Hey I'd love to have him on the team if for no other reason as a disaster QB. HE is all of what you say and more. I think he will be a JAG if for not other reason than to sell tickets. Given time I think he can relearn the throwing motion. and will probably be a damned fine QB.
If for some reason he is there on day two and we have a couple extra #3's absolutely.
How many QBs have we seen be successful in the NFL that could not pass in college, but 'learned' to throw once they hit the NFL?
