I traded my 93 Mustang GT, all my parts I had, my 408 shortblock, and cash for a 2003 Sonic Blue Cobra Mustang.
My friend Tommy drove up from Knoxville Friday night with his F-150, my roommate loaned me his Axiom to go pickup the trailer, and Rodney (WhippleCobra) came over and helped load the shortblock and parts, and I put the car on the trailer, and we got the trailer hooked up to the truck. We left about 3:30 (Central Time) this morning, and made it to Roanoke, Virginia about 11:45 AM Eastern Time to do the swap for the Cobra. The guy who owned the cobra came from New Jersey.
Weather held out just long enough to get this deal done and the roads were great.
Tommy and Rodney switched off driving, and if not for the both of them this would not have been possible. I paid for all the drinks, snacks, and food (Rodney wouldn't let me pay for his), and I paid for all the gas and renting the U-haul car trailer. Tommy's truck is a beast and that 5.4 pulled awesome the whole way there and back.
We drove back to Knoxville, unloaded the car at the U-haul place, and dropped the trailer off there, and Rodney and I drove the Cobra back to Nashville, and OMG....500 HP is totally awesome!!!!
She's getting 4 brand new tires on monday, because these bad boys are bald!!! Glad it wasn't raining because things could have gotten ugly.

it comes with a set of 60# injectors that are not installed and kenne bell boost-a-pump that isn't installed either. so in August, I'll take it down to Dynospeed and have Joe install the injectors and boost-a-pump, and re-tune it and dyno it and maybe get a new pulley to add some more boost to it.
I'll probably buy a new set of stock valve covers because the ones that are on there now are painted black and are just plain ugly. Not sure what he was thinking when he did that, and painted the SC black, but it looks like ass, but I can deal with it for now.
That'll be all that I do to it until I get done with school as far as performance mods go.
After school and I get a job, I will be upgrading the fuel system, and sticking a whipple 2.2 on it and aiming for the 700hp range. that should be enough to keep me happy for years to come.
No more Mustang ADD after this. I'm keeping this car as long as possible. Not selling it, not trading it. If the engine ever goes, I'll just buy another shortblock from MMR, and pay someone to put the new shortblock in and swap everything over and keep driving it.
there's a few imperfections with the car, but I can live with 'em until I get 'em fixed.
