The speculation is that he'll wear a Rockies cap in the HOF. This has made my day, week and month. So happy about this.

Larry Walker receiving the news of his induction into the HOF while wearing a SpongeBob SquarePants shirt is my favorite thing I've seen in quite some time. So ecstatic.

This is just a video from a little later. I can't find the video of him actually receiving the call.

Larry Walker confirmed today in a press conference that he will be wearing a Colorado Rockies cap in the Hall. So happy. I expected that but it's cool to get confirmation.

Hopefully he'll be joined by Todd in a few years.

Default Ubaldo Jimenez returns to Rockies as one of 21 non-roster invites to major league spring training

The Rockies announced 21 non-roster invitations to major league spring training on Wednesday, with former Colorado ace Ubaldo Jimenez headlining the list.

Jimenez, 36, last pitched in the majors for the Orioles in 2017, going 6-11 with a 6.81 ERA. The 6-foot-5 right-hander pitched for Colorado from 2006 to 2010, amassing a 56-45 record with a 3.66 ERA.

He threw the team’s only no-hitter in 2010, his lone all-star year in which he set the Rockies’ single-season wins record with 19. The Dominican also holds the club’s career records for ERA and WAR (18.9), is second in career strikeouts (773) and WHIP (1.284), and is fifth in career wins (56).

For the Rockies this is considered a major move.

Default Rockies’ Bud Black predicts problematic scenarios with new three-batter rule

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Rockies manager Bud Black, who revels in the chess game of hitters vs. pitchers, predicts that a major new rule change is going to be challenging, to say the least.

Beginning this season, all pitchers — both starters and relievers — must now face at least three batters (or pitch until the inning is over) before they come out of a game. An exception is made when an injury or illness prevents the pitcher from being able to finish the required three batters.

“You can still bring in a guy to get that final out of the inning, but you better hope that they get that one out,” Black said. “Gone are the days when you know you can take the (pitcher) out after one hitter, regardless of the result. It’s just not going to happen. Even if your guy throws a great pitch, but there is a broken-bat hit, you have to leave him in.”

The new rule will require more decisions, Black said.

The problem for the Rockies is we only have one guy (O'Berg) possibly two (Diaz) that I trust to face three batters in a row out of our BP. It's gonna be an ugly season for my beloved Rockies. The trade deadline is going to be a slaughter. Good bye Charlie, good bye Nolan and teams will be sniffing around Story as well.

    I don’t like that rule.

I think we are about to see a shit load of relievers get hit with injury/illness bugs.

I never thought I'd see flopping in baseball.
