Imagine BOB trading DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals AND paying his salary, that’s what the Rockies just pulled off. The most laughable trade in sports history.

    Galactically incompetent.

But hey! That Party Deck! Amirite?

I don't consider it laughable. To me it is STUPID, RIDICULOUS, WRONG, ETC. ETC. ETC

I hate to lose players like him in their prime, but at this point the way the organization is I am going to side with the players until something happens from the top down. What a mess. Hard to believe we had hope to be building up something special back in 2007-2009ish. You can set your clock to the pre-All Star Game collapse every year.

I can't even bring myself to talk about this yet because it's so horrific. This is basically the MLB equivalent of a guy who goes broke in the stock market and has to liquidate at the absolute bottom because they've got no other options left and are terrified about going bankrupt.

Default Former Grandview High School star and Yankee says: "It’s exciting to be going back home again. I’m not going to lie."

Somewhere, former members of the Grandview High School tennis team know it’s a big deal that Greg Bird has come home again.

The story goes that when it was Bird’s turn to take his batting practice swings, Grandview’s outfielders would yell a heads up to those practicing or playing on the tennis courts on the other side of the outfield wall. Fearing getting struck by one of Bird’s torpedoes, the tennis players would stop until Birds’ BP session was finished.

A little more than 10 years later, the left-handed swinging Bird is in position to again clout majestic shots through Colorado’s thin air after he signed up with the Rockies on a minor-league contract last week. Why between Coors Field and Triple-A Albuquerque, Bird might, hit what, 80 home runs this year?

Default Jeff Bridich steps down as GM of Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies are in search of a new general manager after Jeff Bridich stepped down from the position on Monday, the club announced.

The Rockies announced Monday that the decision was a mutual agreement with Bridich.

Bridich joined the Rockies in 2004, spending the past seven seasons overseeing their baseball operations. Under Bridich, the Rockies made the postseason in 2017 and '18, but the handling of former star Nolan Arenado might have helped seal his fate.

He did such a catastrophically bad job that I barely care about him leaving because the team is so irrelevant.

Time to move this franchise, tonight was the last straw. Thoroughly uncompetitive ownership is one thing but racist ******* fans are a black eye this town doesn't deserve.
