Corey Dickerson just hit the most ginormous home run I've ever seen in Coors Field. It was huge.

About 10 rows up on the right field upper deck. At first I couldn't see it and I thought the thing went completely out of the park. It was an awesome hit.

Saw Galarraga, and another player (can't remember who), hit the scoreboard on the fly in person years ago. Longest home runs I've seen.

Longest home run not at Coors I saw was one hit by Wily Mo Pena at Kauffman, before the remodel it landed well over what is now a four story building in left field. It was crazy.

Corey Dickerson just put one into McCovey Cove. He has ridiculous power.

Posey just took advantage of being allowed to have 4 strikes and put the ******* giants ahead. I hate the giants and I hate the umps from the last two nights. Shitty job guys, really shitty.

Some of those outside pitches they were giving Bumgarner last night were ridiculous.

Same shit tonight. Posey actually swung at a pitch in the strike zone and it ended up being called a ball. 1st base ump was paying even less attention than the home plate ump.

Just got an alert on my phone that said the Rox extended Jorge De LaRosa for 2 years for $25 million. This is a good job by the FO. Jorge is very good at Cooks and his been one of the few bright spots in the rotation.


Also we beat the hated Giants today 9-2 which means we won the season series against those jackasses, which makes me feel good. I hate the Giants so much.

The Rockies have ended their 21-year partnership with the Colorado Springs Sky Sox and switched their Triple-A affiliation to the Albuquerque Isotopes, the Isotopes announced Wednesday afternoon.

The Rockies will also switch their Double-A affiliation, taking over the New Britain (Conn.) Rock Cats of the Eastern League, that club announced. The Rockies have been paired with the Double-A Tulsa Drillers since 2004. The Los Angeles Dodgers are now expected to partner with the Drillers.

Partnerships between major-league and minor-league teams are usually based on two-year contracts. The Rockies and Isotopes have agreed to a four-year deal.

Surprising news to me.

It’s all speculation for now but the word is spreading in baseball circles that Rockies general manager Dan O’Dowd might consider leaving the Rockies for a front-office position with the Atlanta Braves if John Hart takes over as Braves’ full-time general manager. O’Dowd worked under Hart in Cleveland before coming to the Rockies.

The speculation began Monday when longtime — and well-connected — baseball writer Peter Gammons wrote about the Atlanta Braves decision to fire general manager Frank Wren.

Wrote Gammons: “Understand Hart’s historic front office baseball tree. Mark Shapiro, Dan O’Dowd (who could end up with the Braves in some capacity), Josh Byrnes, Paul DePodesta, Chris Antonetti, Ben Cherington, Jon Daniels, A.J. Preller and Jerry DiPoto are all John Hart guys. And probably more.”
