You aren't the first person I've heard say that Tulo needs to learn a little humility.

And while I think Tulo has earned the right to speak his mind - I sort of get the impression that his giant contract and leadership role have gone to his head. While I actually appreciate his candor, it seems kind of petty for him to go on the record negatively about a former teammate.
The "that's why we traded him" quote was a little off-putting to me. (or whatever the exact quote was)

For lack of a better comparison...a little Jay Cutler-ish.

I totally agree. I was shocked at what Tulo said though out the article - I had no idea he also made personnel decisions - at least that is the way he made it sound. I am sure that Ubaldo was upset with what he had accomplished the year before, and both Tulo and Cargo got the major contracts, and nothing for Ubaldo.

Now you also have to consider that the article was written my Kizla.

So, in essence, you are saying Kizla misquoted his sources?

No, but Kizla has a tendency of making things a bit more malicious than they seem. I mean really, when is the last time you read a Mark Kizla article and felt he did a good job reporting something?

I haven't met them, but we know of each other pretty well. I've had a few conversations with Andrew Martin offline, and they have made me a temporary mod a few times in the past.

So the Rockies AAA affiliate in Colorado Springs now has a working humidor. This will be great to help develop our prospect pitching instead of having them skip AAA because of the launching pad it has been.

This really worries me - http://www.denverpost.com//ci_20270392?source=bb

I'm starting to think Dex is going to be another failed prospect who never turns the corner. He's been given a million chances - he's been sent down both of the last two years and yet we insist on penciling him in as the CF of the future. I hope I'm wrong - I hope the second half of last year is indicative of the future, but I'm starting to think that may have been an aberration.

Also - why do we insist on him hitting from both sides of the plate when he apparently has yet to master one? Simplify things for him. Let him concentrate on hitting right handed full time.

He hit really well in fall league, so I hoped he had turned a corner.

Not to nitpick at you buff, but I think the left side is where he might be more effective, if you were to limit him to one side of the plate.

If spring training was any indication of what a player is going to do in the regular season, the Rockies would have won the WS last year, and the Diamondbacks would have struggled to get 50 wins.

I'll be concerned if Dex has a .150/.250/.350 split by mid may.

Yeah, as I look at his splits that appears to be the case... For some reason I thought he was more comfortable from the right side.

In any case, he's had a horrific spring, and we can't afford for him to take half the season to get into form.
