Rockies Win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Holiday does it again.
They sure do make things hard on themselves to win a game.
Will this win jump start a winning streak?
Finally, good situational hitting in the bottom of the 13th.
Barmes landed on the DL, early word at least 2 weeks (Was he ever on fire), Hawpe placed on 15 day as well. Willy looks to be down a few days with the knee.
Last night was almost horrible, 8 walks 6 hits and the Rockies did not get more then 2 runs untill Brames's clutch double that brought in two. RISP is something that the Rockies have to get going with out that it is going to be many more days of wondering when will that one spark come.Date Transaction
5/24/08 Recalled OF Seth Smith and IF Ian Stewart from Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Placed IF Clint Barmes on the 15-day DL with a right knee sprain; Placed OF Brad Hawpe on the 15-day disabled list with a right hamstring sprain.
Reynolds pitched a gem, 2 hits untill the Degado shot, Tatis was just a head scratcher not much you could do about that. Still very impressed with the kid and looking forward to his next start.
Francis going today first pitch any time now, D-Backs/Braves is on down here so will not get to see the game, boo. Get Francis some support early and try and keep Wright and Beltran quite again!
Look at that, Seth Smith and Ian Stewart are in the line-up today!
Well, Holliday continues to mash but unfortunatly the rest of the team can't.
Having Atkins, Hawpe, and Barmes out of the lineup the offense really showed it.
I just hope Barmes isn't out too long. He is too hot right now to be out.
HoIliday on 15 day DL (hamstring). Came up lame in the 9th yesterday. Injury bug is still in Denver, GO AWAY!

Rockies' Holliday placed on DL
DENVER – Just when you thought things couldn't get worse for the defending National League Champion Colorado Rockies, they got worse.
The Rockies announced Sunday that 2007 National League batting and RBI champion Matt Holliday was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left hamstring. The Rockies' 2-time All-Star left fielder had a 10-game hitting streak at the time of is injury and is hitting .321 with 8 homers and 26 RBI in 46 games this season.
To take Holliday's spot, the Rockies recalled Cory Sullivan from AAA Colorado Springs. Sullivan will be in uniform, wearing No. 18, for Sunday's game against the New York Mets.
Sullivan has played parts of three seasons with the Rockies since 2005 and has a .286 career average. Sullivan was the Rockies' primary centerfielder in 2005, appearing in a career high 139 games.
The move came a day after the Rockies placed starting shortstop Clint Barmes on the 15-day DL with a sprained right knee suffered in the 10th inning of the Rockies 6-5 win on Friday. The Rockies also placed right fielder Brad Hawpe on the 15-day DL on Saturday with a strained right hamstring and recalled third baseman Ian Stewart and outfielder Seth Smith.
The Rockies now have nine players on the disabled list, including Opening Day shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and pitchers Kip Wells, Luis Vizcaino and Jason Hirsh.
The Rockies lineup on Sunday will look more like the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, as Opening Day center fielder Willy Taveras is still out with a bruised knee suffered in the 6th inning on Friday and Opening Day third baseman Garrett Atkins was out of the starting lineup for the second straight game with a stiff neck.

Well if there is something good to come out of all these injuries it is solid playing time that players like Stewart, Smith, and Baker all can get.
