A little off topic, they just reported on am950 the fan that the Rockies have the 3rd lowest payroll in MLB. They could afford to raise ticket prices a dollar or two if it meant signing their talent and putting a good team on the field.

Yeah, I am very aware of how much money each player makes. Todd is making about 16 million, the highest paid guy on the team. The second highest? Matt Holliday with about 4 million I think...loswest paid players on the team are Tulo, Hirsh, and someone else who I cant remember, making about 365,000 each.

If it means keeping Holliday, Atkins, Tulo, Hawpe all those great players around, I dont mind spending a few extra bucks on tickets. Right now $4 Rock pile seats is a HECK of a deal. Raise it to $8 and its still a steal!

I think I heard that the average ticket for the entire stadium is $16.50. Another great deal.

I am convinced that they SHOULD raise tickets but have to keep their core together. Especially if they make the post season this year...( hey, they still have a few more weeks. )

So far so good for the Rockies! Thought Troy was hurt there for a second and about died.

Well droped 2 in a row to the Marlins! Ah not good times. It was a trap series coming in and the Marlins bats are better then or pitchers.

Going to have to come up big the rest of the way to have a shot.

I'd say we have to win 7 out of 9 or 10 out of 12 to even get back within a game...


But heck, this season has been one to remember and a winning record will alleve alot of the sting of missing out!

but both teams have issues and most likely will not make it over

I have never ever ever ever seen Todd Helton that excited, I DONT THINK I HAVE EVER BEEN THAT EXCITED!

Only downside to that win was that I wasn't able to watch it at home with my brother, instead I got the weird looks from the room mate because I went nuts...and for once I pretty much told her to "*insert pretty word here* off."

My brother did call me though, seconds after the game ended....our convo was sooo funny.

Me: HOLY CRAP!
Perry: I JUST GOT NAKED!!!

Cuz he tends to get naked and run down the street whenever the Broncos/Rockies/Avalanche/Nuggets do something awesome. Great kid, my bro.
