3 games up for the 2nd wild card with a month to play and the next 8 at home? I would have taken that in April happily.

I would have taken that too. I've been very pleasantly surprised by this season.

I feel you though - it feels like we're fading into the finish line. I can't remember the last time I saw Nolan have such a terrible at bat than he did with the bases loaded in a 1 run game last night. Holland's slider isn't sliding. CarGo can't hit.

And suddenly I have no faith in Parra-Reynolds-Desmond-CarGo to put up quality ABs. Is it just me, or did you like Parra better when he played for Arizona? I remember him in Milwaukee and in AZ and he had a rocket arm, a dangerous bat, and he was just an all around imposing ball player. Now he seems to give away ABs, is generally unlikable in the club house, and I can't remember the last time I saw him throw anyone out.

Para is actually one of the guys I'm confident in when he's up. Hes hitting .340 or something. From what I understand th fellas in the clubhouse love him. He still makes great defensive plays. He almost saved the no-no with a great diving catch.


Blackmon, DJ and Nolan are the other guys I have confidence in.

I am with you, I love our 1-3 hitters, but then beyond that I've lost a lot of confidence lately. Parra's numbers say I'm full of shit, but he hasn't fully won me over yet.
