This analysis, of course, is all based on like 15 pitches or however many he's thrown.
He made Trumbo look silly with that slider there though. Located both in the zone. You can do that if you're throwing strikes with that fastball, which he was. Both hung a little, but they were good pitches because of the timing and the batter at the plate. His fastball should allow him to throw some of those breaking balls for strikes and that's when he'll be the most effective.

Agree - that's been the story much of the season, since injuries hit.

I like how fired up @spillygoat19 is on @ROOTSPORTS_RM right now. Said #Rockies innings limit approach is setting everyone up for failure.

Chris Rusin with a complete game shutout, the first one for the Rox since Matzek did it last season.

Chris has been one of the few bright spots this season. Not a great W/L record but he continually pitches quality games and doesn't walk many batters. He is a legit bottom of the rotation guy. Good game Rusin.

Even George Frazier had written him off with the 0-2 count. Lefty on lefty that was pretty impressive. They're talking about Morneau coming back this week. Give me Ben Paulsen over Morneau's $9 million option next year.

I definitely think we should give Paulsen the chance at being our 1st basemen of the future. The guy can hit and he's not bad at first base defensively either. He's a good player IMHO.

He's not that much of a dropoff from Morneau and it saves us $9 mil that we could give to a pitcher instead - seems like a no-brainer to me. I'd be shocked and bewildered if we brought Morneau back next year. Wouldn't make a lick of sense for a rebuilding team.

I hope we trade Reyes too, I'll be pissed if we traded Tulo for an older, not as good but just as expensive SS. I understand we got prospects too, but we need to clear that cash.

Doubtful. Maybe somebody takes him around the deadline next year if we send some cash along with him... But his salary makes him virtually untradeable.

Plus the reality is that we are probably another year of rebuilding away before we maybe, possibly, try to be competitive in 2017. But more likely it's like a 3-5 year horizon.

Why even have ******* replay. I have seen the Rockies get ****** by replay so many times this season. It's ridiculous.
