Only thing we can hold out hope for is it's of the variety that can heal on it's own and he can be the DH. But that makes the roster interesting with Lough, Cruz and Young.

Yeah, that would be the best case scenario. But it seems like anytime they're talking about Tommy John the natural regeneration never happens... I think players are always hoping for an alternative. I remember last year Matt Harvey wanted to take that approach at first before deciding to just have the surgery.

Different scenarios for pitchers and field players...although catcher might be as close as you can get due to snap throws

First time shut out all season. I think I'm a bit of a lucky charm for the Rangers. Whenever I go to games, I think they win 9 times out of 10. I've been to 23 Orioles games in Texas and watched Baltimore win 3 of them.

KC's pitching was very good tonight but the ump behind the dish was pathetic.

Rox need to pull out of this little funk they're in. Ending these little slumps early are a must.

This road trip should be a reality check for the front office. It's been a great start to the year, but our lack of starting pitching gets exposed on the road when we can't out-slug teams, as has been the case for the last 20 years.

Pomeranz looking decent for Oakland defies explanation. So many pitchers have come to Colorado to die and then revive their careers elsewhere.

    Welcome to Kauffman.

    Where offenses go to die.
*The statements above are my opinions, unless they are links, because then they are links, which wouldn't make them my opinions, and I suppose stats aren't necessarily opinion, but they are certainly presented to support an opinion. Proceed accordingly.

2 in the ninth to beat the Sams? Yeah, that'll work.

Default Giants broadcaster suspicious of Troy Tulowitzki's hot hitting at home

The budding National League West rivalry between the San Francisco Giants and Colorado Rockies appears to be getting hotter, thanks to a Giants broadcaster who says that Troy Tulowitzki's phenomenal early season production at Coors Field is the result of Tulo "getting signs."

Mike Krukow, the Giants' color analyst for Comcast SportsNet Bay Area and NBC Bay Area telecasts, as well as KNBR radio broadcasts, was asked Tuesday about Tulowitzki's .571 batting average at Coors Field.

"I swear he's getting signs," Krukow said on the KNBR morning show. "There is no way you can hit like that, for this long. I mean, if you hit .571, that's for a weekend or a week. But you don't do it for six weeks. That's insane."

Told about the comments, Tulowitzki said Wednesday morning, "I would rather not get involved in that. I don't want to comment."

GEEZ - Why should Tulo be the only one getting signs - I would like to see all of the Rockies' batters getting signs

Default Rockies’ Weiss, Gonzalez, Cuddyer respond to Krukow’s suspicions about Tulowitzki

The war of words between the San Francisco Giants and Rockies looks like it has been won by Walt Weiss. The Rockies’ manager certainly got the best, and probably the last, word about criticism of Troy Tulowitzki’s incredible offensive performance at Coors Field.

Before Wednesday night’s game against the Giants, I asked Weiss to respond to comments made by Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow, who essentially said that Tulowitzki’s sizzling start at Coors was the result of Tulo “getting signs.”

“My response is that we do it all,” Weiss said with wry smile and a laugh. “We have a light bulb on the scoreboard we flash. Keep an eye on Dinger, he’s involved. We switch out the baseballs, we have the umpires in on it.

**** the mother****ing cocksucking Giants. That ******* team whines about the Rockies cheating at least 5 times a year and they're the ******* pieces of shit that had Barry Bonds when his hat size went from 7 1/4 to 16 1/2. **** them and the gay pride parade float they rode in on.
